This is gorgeous, the colour is so vibrant. It's like being a mermaid.

Thank you!

Funny.. I never thought that much about this photo the time I submitted it. It was just "looks kind of good.. eyecandy like", but nothing special in my view. Then it turns out to become a rather noticed and favored piece in my dA gallery. And somehow I've started to like it more and more myself as others tell what they like about it. It's still not a personal favorite among my own photos, but I'm much more fond of it than I'd been if I had not showed it to others.

An amazing capture.......love the sense of slow movement in here and those colors are gorgeous....

kaffedyr In reply to kkart [2005-01-29 08:34:01 +0000 UTC]

Mhm, it was indeed a gentle and slow movement in the water when I shot this Even with that slow shutterspeed I used, it didn't get more blurred than I expect from any water reflection shot.

Thanks for the comment! And the fav

very neat! At first glance, it looked like you were shooting from underwater. great capture!

kaffedyr In reply to chaos-magess [2004-11-27 14:44:28 +0000 UTC]

Thank you!

Yes, it often gets that funny feeling of being a underwater shot when I take the photo from the other side of the water, and then rotate it afterward That weird feeling of the twisted perspective, and the fact that it makes it easier to capture the reflection without me included in it, is why I like to do this kind of photos that way.

marmara [2004-11-24 21:54:12 +0000 UTC]

Really nice shot.

I don't know why but this photogragh made me feel like I am under the water.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

kaffedyr In reply to marmara [2004-11-27 14:40:25 +0000 UTC]

Thanks!

I believe that feeling is caused by the perspective and depth of the shot It's shot "upside down", since that's the easiest way to exclude my own reflection from the photo, and because I like the twisted depth the shot gets when rotated

kaffedyr In reply to ElegantEvolution [2004-10-24 02:28:51 +0000 UTC]

You do? Wow, that's a compliment I feel my prints are priced a bit too high, though. I just haven't taken the time to change them from the default price yet (it's a one by one procedure, I really wish for a "change all of said size" option)

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ElegantEvolution In reply to kaffedyr [2004-10-24 02:58:04 +0000 UTC]

Heh, well, if I can scrounge the money for it, that will definitely be something I buy. It just gives me this dreamy feeling every time I see it, just the imagery you can pull from it is astounding.

I envy your great photography skills

kaffedyr In reply to ElegantEvolution [2004-10-24 18:55:47 +0000 UTC]

Thank you so much! (But there are a lot of photographers taking better photos than me, who I envy! )

Well, I've finally taken the time to cut 30% off the price on all my prints now.. So they will be cheaper to purchase from now on, than the default price they were before.

You know, that sounds interesting. But it would probably destroy my eyes
I like the way water can show us it's reflection of the world, but I'm quite glad I don't live in that view.
