hmm...I think for me, a lot of it has to do with your mouth shape. You're making similar sounds, but the shape of the mouth is different. I can't explain it well (I'm not an expert), but you should try to find some youtube videos or listen to some audio clips over and over.

Koreans did't like Hetalia because Korean in hetalia depicted the way what Koreans feels unpleased.
(the stop of making of Anime of hetalia was originated by strong resist of south koreans in a part.)
and ă
is more near J of "just", I think. (g of originate is [ơ] so transliteration for korean is 죟+(ă
Ł) or 켏+(ă
Ł).)

Sorry to come into this randomly, but we cannot ignore history either. Japan had tried to take over Korea for a very long time. After taken over Korea, they would eventuall try to take over China. They succeeded in taking over Korea and they were later booted out of Korea. Koreans were overjoyed by thier freedom but had mixed feelings of letting the US help them as some took it as another country controlling them. This is somewhat true of course. Thus, North and South Korea had split apart and North Korea being very... well you know communist the South Koreans have never been able to contact their relatives in North Korea at all.
My grandmother had lost her parents in the split and she's never seen her parents for years. She doesn't even know how or when they died. My mother never met her grandparents on her mother's side. The Japanese took the country over and they killed many people and subjected the citizens to many things that hurt the country. They even overtook the monarchy. The North Koreans wanted the monarchy to return but the South Koreans did not.
The whole Japan and Korea thing is a sore subject on Koreans. If you talk to many older Korens you'll see a lot of hatred towards the Japanese. My grandparents hate the Japanese having lived through that time period. Old grudges such as these aren't easy to forget for some. I would like to say that perhaps they felt unpleased by the protrayal of their country but there is also the fact of history.
I myself am Korean and I understand thier displeasure with history, but having been born in a later time period, I'm more forgiving. I'm not happy with the past but it's over. The older generation cannot accept that. I personally love Hetalia and I know many other Koreans as well. So it's not like Korea as a whole hated it, it's more the older generation of Koreans part of the government or whatever.
Just thought I would say that. Sorry for the intrusion and please pardon me. If angered I do apologize but I will not take back anything I said.

Even though I know that already, what is your point? I'm just trying to spread the love for Korea, I'm not trying to insult either. Many people are angry at the actions which caused the rest of us fans to lose Korea from their anime and merchandise; after all, every other country in the world was equally poked fun at. However, I am not addressing that issue here. I just want people to forget all that and still try to love the character and language despite the controversy.
I also know that the chart isn't 100% accurate, but some of the accuracy had to be sacrificed so I could make an appropriate reference to APH. I just made this so it would spark some interest in the language, and hopefully people who are truly interested in learning will seek a teacher or book. Baby steps.

Again, I'm a bit sorry for intruding but I would like to thank you for spreading the love of Korea. I know that a lot of people hate or feel ill towards Korea for petitioning against Korea. I was a bit ashamed of my country for doing that as well but old history scars aren't easily healed I suppose.
So I really do thank you or trying to spread the love for Korea. It makes me very happy to know that others do love Korea. Heh heh he's my favorite character along with China and Russia. XD
