It’s been something like months since I’ve submitted something for my own gallery. I wasn’t actually planning to submit and thing at all … but … anyway …

Yesterday, I got this program called Vue 5. I swear, I only meant to play with it, to see what it was like … yeah right! 14 hours later, this comes out.

Yep, I was up ‘til 6 this morning rendering this and, at the moment, I feel somehow similar to a zombie, I imagine, except without the whole “I need brains” thing. Although, with the way my stomach’s been grumbling, I think I could probably eat a brain or two … or 5. I’d sustained myself through the cold-cold night with Pringles (Sour Cream & Onion no less) and Early Grey tea. I can already see the pimples explode out of my face like weird oil-volcano’s … ok, maybe not quite like that little guy there … I was thinking more on dribbling and squirting … I’ll stay away from open flames least my face catch on fire …

Am I babbling …?

Arugh! I’m so tired! And, you know, just when I did manage to tear myself away from this program and actually get to sleep … my mother calls … yep, at 7:30 … I do hope she didn’t expected me to be bright, and cheery, and extremely talkative, because I was defiantly none of those things. I think I remember feeling slightly annoyed … only slightly coz I don’t think my mind had registered that I’d answered my mobile and was actually talking to someone. I remember something like an interrogation … with lots of gaps of silence …

“Are you at home?”
“Yes.”
“…”
“…”
“Is your brother home?”
“Yes.”
“…”
“…”

… Something like that, anyway. She’d been lucky that I wasn’t anymore awake than I was or I would’ve told her off … no one disturbs my sleep!

This is turning into a journal entry! So … I think I’ll start actually telling you about this picture, instead of the inner workings of my private life.

The father and son were imported in from Poser. I think I spent half of the 14 hours going between Poser and Vue, wondering whether I should put people in the thing or not, and what they should be doing I was even entertaining a couple of butterfly winged people, but, that obviously didn’t come through … this is what normally happens to me if I don’t have a concept in mind when I start a piece …

I went with the Tower of Babel concept. Don’t know the story? Read the bible you uncultured swine! Or you could Google it. I’ll even provide a Google link for you … [link] Aren’t I kind?

The white ruined building in the distance is the Tower … obviously. And father is showing son and telling him the story that went with it.

That ruined building came from Cinema 4D. I think it’s a cube with a couple of extrudes through it. The ruination was an actual texture in Vue. Pretty cool stuff.

Wow, this is turning into a novel … I think I’ll stop now.
