Karen has brown eyes, black hair, and fair skin. Her hair is usually kept in a bun or high ponytail, with her bangs separated using pink hairpins. Karen's outfit consists of a white shirt under a grey, laced top, with a black jacket. She wears a pleated pink-purple skirt with ruffles, though occasionally changes into pants before prepared battles. She wears black boots and has a choker around her neck with a rose ornament.

Karen is portrayed as a seemingly light-hearted, but somewhat shady girl who is strongly devoted to HOMRA. She proves to be quite cunning when it comes to mahjong, especially against other Clansmen, and uses it as a way to earn others respect. Later on, she continues to receive this approval from her training, and she becomes a very skilled close-range fighter. However, she does get too full of herself in these states, and tends to unwillingly draw her defeat in battle..’

Even during fights, Karen uses polite phrases around other people, although does not address anyone with honorifics and refers to them by first name. This is done in rudeness and Karen enjoys this degrading act very much, despite it being remarked negatively.
