Bio:Born in Laos, Maud was orphaned at a young age and was placed in an orphanage. One day, a rich but kind couple came and were looking for a child to adopt. They were instantly drawn to Maud and soon after she was sent to America to live with the couple.
Maud loves her adoptive parents very dearly, though they do at times push her to do well at school, which causes her to feel insecure. She studies hard to make good grades, because she is secretly scared that if she doesn't do well, her parents will regret adopting her. She knows its a silly thought, but none the less, feels the need to do well.
At the age of 9, her parents adopted another child, this time from Vietnam; the country on the boarder of Laos. He was 8 at the time. Although there is a year between the two of them, her brother and herself get along very well.
At 14, her life changed when she was placed at Misery High while her parents travelled. Her brother was placed in a boarding school not too far from Misery High, so she still visits him often. Maud doesn't know whether the rumours are true, but is about to find out.
