Description This one will make it the 4th drawing posted (but there are actually 5 of them) for my father's death anniversary. The theme ? Big boobs and big asses *trollface*

I tend to draw them without lines, but this time, I wanted to try another kind of colouring with lines, but without relying too much on it /o/

I feel like my deviantART gallery only has characters in swimsuit... or only a few pieces of clothing. WHYYYYYY ?

The old ones (which actually makes it a before/after meme once a year) :

Au moins ça laisse le souvenir d'un bel été bien chaud... C'est très joli !

Merci

Haha, ça aura duré assez longtemps cette année (même si j'étais partie pendant une des semaines où il faisait beau...). Mais d'habitude, on a toujours droit à au moins quelques jours bien ensoleillés en septembre, mais rien cette fois-ci..

The shading for the skin is really nice, and I like the realism in the seashore and the foam of the water.

Thank you ! I'm wondering if I should keep up with this kind of colouring for the skin...
I was so lazy that I just looked at my drawing from last year and just tried to made the foam looks more realistic

You're welcome. For anime skin, it's sufficient to apply the airbrushing technique like you did, when you want realistic looking skin tone and value. You don't need to change it unless you want to apply a painting technique.

Well, I'm kind of trying different ways of colouring... I love to look at cel-shad anime style, but at the same time, I don't want to draw like that, so I'm trying something a little more realistic... I'm so confused because I have no idea of what I'm doing

You might want to look at tutorials for styles you are interested it.

Yeah, I really should.. I'm always trying by myself because I'm stubborn
But at the same time, I have no idea of what I want to achieve (It's easy to copy a style, but then, it won't be something personal /o/)

I'm the same way. I'm completely self-taught, didn't learn from books or teachers, etc, and whatever I know is because I observed or learned on my own. However, this can only get you so far and you start to run into road blocks. I need to start using references more than I do.

I think if you used references from things that inspire you, you might get a sense of direction. Don't think of this as copying, because eventually you will go your own direction with this inspiration and it will come into it's own.

I can totally relate to what you're saying. Especially about the references.

It tends to irks me because I feel like copying while I'm only relying on something to understand how things work. At the moment, I use several references to draw more realistic backgounds (without copying anything, but just drawing some rough several times to understand how it works), but I still don't feel good about using references for characters... But I don't have any problem about taking a picture of my own hand to draw hands, hahaha
