Absolutely! I've been in love with the style since my husband showed me his favorite Bernhardt posters.

You must have some serious patience to sit and do those knots Cool piece! You have such a cool style.

Thank you very much.. Actually, the knotwork is the easiest part for me, it's the drawing other things that's so difficult. LOL

If you can draw knotwork that well it will be no time before your a master at all things. Very nice works! As a matter of fact I was at a art show and bought some ink drawings similar to the style you do. You should sell these they are awesome and you have a unique style.

Thank you.. Unique is a compliment.. I've been thinking about trying to sell some, however, digital art versus inks, paints, etc, is a vastly different thing. I'm not sure how that would go.. to sell "prints" as opposed to original art.

You can't sell them for as much, but you can sell more Framing also helps and signing a certificate of authenticity as well as limiting the amount of prints and marking it like 1\50 (1 of 50) helps to increase the value. Take the cost of materials, advertisement, whatever and mark up 100% to start with and as you gain in sales\popularity up your time cost in slowly until your earning what you think your time is worth You may not make much at the beginning, but never sell under your investment cost.

If you have a decent printer like an Epson 2200 you can print, mat, and frame 11x14 prints and sell on Ebay - it's a good place to start. Just remember to keep track of taxes. It will pay for the printer in the long run and I think your stuff will sell well there, plus this gives you the freedom to sell on your site or wherever.

EZ Prints is a good place if you want the the maximum profit gain from your sales and don't want to print for yourself: [link]
Also, for certified certs check out : [link]

I think having your own printer gives you the most freedom tho....

Lovely work, Kaidoh. I like the detail of the ribbon on the hat. The pic has a lovely light feeling contrasted by the celtic border.

Thank you.. means a ton coming from you, Peta.. I think the ribbon on the hat is my favorite thing about it.

Cute concept!

Lovely, lovely border at the top. The green looks a bit bright on my monitor, though, compared to the muted burgandy and tawny colors.

I like the brushstroke feel with the verctors. The plants feel like they were swept onot the paper with a Chinese brush.

I can see the Fitzpatrick influence... and that's not a bad thing, because the style is your own!

Thanks.. that's exactly what I was going for, why I left the background lines in... I had seen another artist named villa chinchilla on here do wax stuff, but one picture she did a design with wax, painted, then used an iron to melt the wax off, leaving a non-colored pattern.. I did the same thing witht eh hat, only in photoshop. And yeah, I was specifically going for more of a fitzpatrick feel, but I really wanted to draw a hat.. and I really wanted ot do those celtic dragons.. so I just put them together..

youre really good at stylized art. I love it. It looks like a woodblock print but made contemporary. Great work on the borders as well.

Maybe it was Moira Hahn's hat. [link]
And she left it there near what looks like the cliffs of Dover because she thought she was late for the ferry.

I love the borders. The image gives the sense of a nice cool Sunday perfect for a picnic; blue skies and a nice mild breeze.

Nice work!! Love the design... Reminds me of the scene of the horse race in that old John Wayne movie...The Quiet Man...and Maureen O'Hara's hat left on the post at the end....

kaidoh In reply to patrx [2004-10-14 04:15:29 +0000 UTC]

Okay.. That's just wierd.. that's exactly what I had in mind. One of my favorite all time movies.. No one but Maureen has ever held up to John Wayne's stature, and that's just the funniest thing I've ever seen..

Bad priest.. bad preacher.. for shame to play a trick.. He should've put them in his book and put a line through their names.. *grins*

Oh, wow- the combination of detailed Celtic design goes great with the basic look of the background and hat. Nice job with the long grass, it really gives the effect of a windy day. It really seems like it should be animated.

Oh hey.. I looked up Clarice Cliff cuz i'd never heard of her.. WOW, her pottery is absolutely fantastic! THanks, looking at her stuff, I feel really complimented. And that was sort of what I was going for. Thanks.
