Description The next member of my Star Trek crew is the second in command herself, Commander Zera, an Andorian female. Andorians need more love, they're blue, they like to fight, AND they have those neat antennae on their heads, what's not to like? Also, they're one of the four founding races of the Federation, and one of the most iconic aliens of the entire franchise, and yet they never appear again until Star Trek Enterprise, that awful prequel series no one liked...Sigh. I picture Zera as being a vet of the Dominion War who actually MISSES the action of the conflict despite how dire a time it had been for the Federation, unlike her Captain who wishes to leave it all behind him, BUT she still decided to go on a deep space exploration mission with him out of loyalty and friendship...And the hope that they'll meet something fun to beat up like a space god or a planet buster XD.

Thanks again to the artist,

Star Trek needs more Andorian characters. And I like the uniform!

Many thanks! Sorry for the super late reply >_<

I agree we need more Andorians in Star Trek, along with many other classic aliens who are allegedly important to the Federation and yet we see so little of them ):

Don't worry about the "late" reply. I've responded to comments much older than one year!

My OC crew has an Andorian captain. Unfortunately it will be a looong time before you see any hide or hair of them written or drawn.

Agreed, heck, Trek needs more of its classic aliens in general. The Andorians, Tellarites, Vulcans, & humans were supposedly the four founding members of the Federation, and yet we NEVER see all four of them together on the same ship or station, outside of Journey to Babel & Whom Gods Destroy from TOS, though in neither case were all aliens involved members of Star Fleet. This seems odd to me, cuz you'd think they'd be the most common sight in Star Fleet & the Federation in general, I'd like a future Trek show to have the four founders as members of the same crew for a change, or at the very least feature all these aliens as characters working in the background so ya know they're there lol.

Started playing Star Trek Online with my friends recently, very fun game (and I'm not much of a diehard gamer), definitely a better entry in Trek history than the Kelvin films or Star Trek Discovery.

Huh.... you know, i never noticed that.  When i watched TOS back in 2012, i was surprised at how every episode was intensely far-out, and dealt with bizarre creatures and massively weird circumstances... there were really no world-building episodes that dealt with the Federation and such.

I kind of like it that way.  They're playing jazz, man.  Pure creativity.

LOL, don't get me wrong, still love Trek, including the classic series, just found it funny that we never saw all four founding species of the Federation together very often even after all these years. Its something I'd like to see eventually, in the mean time, I have Star Trek Online XD.

Another funny thing about the original series is that they were still playing fast and loose with certain things.  In one episode... "Miria," i think... Spock casually announces that they have found an "alternative Earth," which is presumably from an alternate dimension.

Oh.  Cool.  An alternative Earth.  Let's go explore it shall we.

Also, Spock seemed to have some very wide-ranging telepathic powers at times that were convenient to the plot.  I think there was one where he affected a guard's mind through a wall, some sort of telekinetic attack.  I don't think Vulcans really do that anymore?

Fast and loose.
