Description
Back in 1973 (TOHO’s adaptation to Tsuburaya’s Ultraman) was released, and earlier this month marked its 50th anniversary.

A family of a alien survivors, who were able to flee their home world before it was destroyed finds refuge living among the people of earth in Japan, but there enemies have followed them and now seek to destroy this world just like they did with theirs.

The oldest son of the Zone family Hikaru Sakimori decides to fight back, with the help of his sister Hotaru, and his little brother Akira they transform into the superhero’s Zone Fighter, Zone Angle, and Zone Junior.

With his Zone powers he becomes a 60m giant with access to all kinds of abilities and even working together with the “Monster of Justice” Godzilla they fight together to protect the earth from the Garoga and their army of terror-beasts.

Though it did have potential this show came out during a dark period for TOHO in the 70s so sadly the show was not well received and did not have many viewers, but it has had somewhat of a resurrection in the form of small cameo’s to fan base communities.

There is no DVD or Blu-ray set out in the U.S., but there is a good chance that may change in this day and age, all we can do is wait, but if you can’t wait and are interested you can look for it on the internet, just make sure it’s safe.

Fun Fact: This show is canon to the Showa Godzilla era, in between Godzilla vs Megalon and Godzilla vs MechaGodzilla.
