Under normal circumstances I discourage idol worship, singers and performers in general, but I'll admit to making an exception for Megumi Odaka. I crushed on her so hard when I was a kid, and over the decades she's just been special to me, I was so happy to find her first movie, to get her music albums, some rare old books of photography of her, and finally getting to meet her in 2018 was one of the happiest days I ever had. She's just a sweet, pleasant, talented lady who presented herself with humility and sweetness, and best of all this month she returns to Japanese theaters for the first time in decades, and this little fanboy couldn't be happier about it.
