Very impressive! My only slight complaint is the use of the original version of Gigan instead of his vastly superior Final Wars design..
Still, like I say, it's only a minor gripe!

Sorry for the wait and belated reply; despite me totally missing the Rodan issue (completely sold out in my area of Los Angeles), I am loving the "Legends" series, which is proof positive that you can do great Godzilla stories when placed into the right hands of talented writers and artists.
The first issue was a joy, both for focusing on Anguirus, and using Destroyah in a very useful, if not nifty manner, highlighted by Matt Franks awesome art!
The Titanosaurus issue is remarkable in its bittersweet execution, almost as if it was a darkly sad (yet good) entry into the classic "Twilight Zone". And the appearance of non-giant monster characters from the franchise, than turning them upside down was most awesome. I never though you could make Magul a sympathetic figure, and I think I like older Miki better than the movie-based original.
The Hedorah issue, although featuring a very basic story-line, was just an treat for one of the Smog Monsters' biggest fans (i.e. myself), and it really makes the walking heap of toxic sledge a truly horrifying entity, largely thanks to what is arguably the best artwork ever done for a Godzilla project.
It's a shame this series will be rapping up with Kumonga, as there are so many other monsters to tackle, including ones the IDW have permission to, but yet to actually use, like Space Godzilla and Gigan.

I don't see WHY they had to leave ol' Anguirus out of so many of the recent Godzilla movies, as i recall, Anguirus was Godzilla's FIRST ever opponent, then they just sorta forgot about him for about thirty years before giving him a small part in Final Wars.
Y'know what? call me crazy, but for the 2012 Godzilla movie, i'd like to see him fighting Anguirus, or maybe even Mothra again! (i know the idea of Godzilla fighting a Butterfly's a bit daffy, but they've pulled it off before havn't they?)... Though it'll probably be King Ghidorah... Don't get me wrong, a three headed space dragon that fires lightning from his mouths is cool and all, but we've seen that fight a bunch of times and KNOW Godzilla'll win.

Gigan and Anguirus my be my favorite monsters, but I think the Titanosaurus cover is by far my favorite of these. Just beautiful.
