The big reveal of my new art piece, celebrating 15 years of Godzilla: Final Wars! Love it or hate it, this movie really is a mad monster party with a lot of action and laughs, as Godzilla and a cast of the craziest kaiju, humans, and aliens take on the world.

For the most part I'd agree: there were soooooo many monsters they could have shown in KOTM, even in a Final Wars-style montage, but instead they just kinda' glossed over them (or made them nearly impossible to see). Maybe that's better than overkill (the movie already had four monsters to focus on), but it still would have been nice to have our kaiju cake and eat it, too.

"Fun" and "chaos" sum up the movie perfectly; yeah, a lot of it's a mess, but it's a damned FUN mess (like the best of parties we had in our youth...in fact the movie feels a lot like getting all of your old friends together and reliving those rowdy days!).

I do enjoy Scapula a lot... the comic and character both.Β My favorite character to date is Hypnausea... he's a sweet-spot combo of creepy, hilarious, and surprisingly impressive!Β Also, I really enjoyed your Dadahyena comics.Β They were delightfully weird!
His name's Trevor, actually, though for all he does for me he may as well be St. Nick....

Great to hear! Hypnausea probably had more fans than Scapula himself...hell, I should have killed Scap off and made that purple-garbed pervert the main character!
Also interesting whenever someone discovers those Dada Hyena comics; it always reminds me what a total weirdo I was in my youth!

I won't lie, it's a tight toss up.Β Scap is a close second simply because without him none of this would get rolling.Β Everyone else would be petty crooks without his crazed vision and demented drive.Β I think I'm less a fan of either and more a fan of their interactions together hee!Β Third favorite is good ol' Throgor.Β Everyone needs a big ugly violent cannibal mutant in their lives, and he likely stinks less than Babirus.
Hey, nothing wrong with being weird at any stage of life!Β They were creative, had interesting characters, and certainly didn't stop to ask if anyone's wussy 'feels' would be hurt.Β I think they're a great start, and deserve their own short book or inclusion in a folio or something!Β I'd love to see your thoughts on them now, individually!

That's a lot of insight! It's always good to know which characters readers like and which ones they detest (trust me, I heard a lot of both in the comments section over the years!).
I'm hard-pressed to pick any particular favorite character, but I always did have fun writing and drawing Scapula and the Sinister Monster Doom Legion (hence their solo book in 2017); there are other character who were more challenging to write and draw, but that always makes for interesting stories.

The closest I've come to hating a character is predictably Dr. Caliban, because you write him so well to be hated by everyone hee!Β Ironically, despite being bisexual, I even find the Miscreants pretty likeable (the fact the Homophobe chokes up at the mere suggestion makes him more of a goof in a gimp mask than anything to me!).
And I mean, you did whack Vlad pretty fast, which worked out well because I found him pretty insufferable.
Anyways!Β Keep up the good work!Β And hey, we gonna see creepy old Noah Sferatu again soonish?

Noah Sevradu probably wont be around anytime soon, since I gave the actual Nosferatu a cameo at the monster's party in 'Scapula and the Sinister Monster Doom Legion'. But who knows, obscure characters always pop up again when you least expect them!
