Wow, you did all of this without rubbing out?! Gasp. One thing, though - her eyes look a little blank.

Thanks for noticing her eyes! Those were actually the first part I drew, and at the time I thought she was going to be a puppet/doll.

It's...like a big group of your favorite things. MLP, kitties, dainty items...

I LOVE this, the beautiful chaos of the background, the serene look on the human's face and the way it contrasts the very expressive looks on the cat faces, and the leaves on the trees.
Working straight in pen, without the safety net of being able to erase, can result in some great stuff. You have to commit yourself to every line. This turned out really nicely!

Thanks! I realized how much I missed working in pen when I was drawing this... there are a few parts that I wish I had the benefit of an eraser for, but pen really forces me to think about composition ahead of time. I'm so used to working digitally these days that I usually draw without any thought for that, and it's become a weakness.
Also, I love hatching things. <3

Pens are a difficult yet addictive (and rewarding!) medium... but it definitly is hard to readjust to them after working digitally for a while. And it gets so easy to take for granted the ability to erase things, reposition them, and in general tweak them until they are flawless- I know that for me at least, those benefits of digital drawing are pretty seductive... but it always feels so good to throw an image onto a paper in one try and get it right. And you definitely got it right here.

Well, I suck at pen drawings. o.o
I love that snail on the table. For some reason he really catches my eye.

Ohh, a vote for color. We'll see what happens. I have so many projects going right now that it tough to balance 'em all!

Haha! So true.

Would you believe my computer just died? It won't turn on. D:
I have to wait until morning to use my air compressor on it and pray that it revives! I'm using the spare computer now! Yikes!
At least it means I'm spending more time painting instead of goofing around online, I guess.
