Definitely best girl in Xenoblade Chronicles 2. I love just about everything about Nia, especially her accent, Welsh accents on women are so great. Though yes, it is kind of weird having cat people without tails, none of the Gormotti seem to have them >_>
Plus in addition to being a fantastic character, Nia is pretty much indispensable from a gameplay perspective as well, she's pretty much the only character who's any good at doing the healing, she's the only character who's never once been deliberately taken out of my party or swapped for anyone else. The only times I haven't used her has been when the story itself removes her.

Bonus: she's adorable, and has some of the best scenes

Indeed. Nia is one of the best characters in the game, the only other real contender I have for favorite character is Morag.

Ah yes, Miss Morag, she's pretty nice too, what about Blades? any of them you like?

Well, obviously the big spoiler healer one you get midway Chapter 7 Praxis is another one of my favorites, Wulfric is probably my favorite male Blade he's just so badass and a big ol' softy under that gruff, monstrous exterior. Herald, Kassandra is a really adorable one...though the frightful bad luck she causes is definitely...worrying >_> It's hard to pick favorites since I really love all of the characters a lot...the Blade I definitely want the most though is KOS-MOS, but unfortunately she seems to be really impossibly hard to find, even in comparison to the other Rare Blades you get through the Core Crystal RNG :/
Theory is another one I really want, and I feel like I'll really like her too since she's Praxis' "twin sister", but gods is the end of her side quest ever hard...her Driver has been the most frustratingly tough and aggravating enemy I've encountered in the entire game to date (partway through Chapter 8 now), my characters are anywhere from 9 to 12 levels above him...and the punk still keeps handing the party their asses on a silver platter, he's so darn frustrating >__< It will be sooooo satisfying once I finally kill him...

good Choices!
I Personally Like Electra (shes really cute, if a bit dangerous to hug)
Wulfric (same reasons as you)
and Herald (awesome design, scary amounts of power)
By the way, chain attacks and The power upgrade to pyra and mythra will destroy anything

You really can't go wrong with any of them since they're all so cool.
Electra is definitely adorable, definitely one of those characters that just sort of gives off "cuteness overload" and makes you want to run up and hug them, and she certainly sounds pretty fun from what I've heard about her.
Wulfric is just the best, he's a total bro. He's usually one of the "permanent" Blades for Rex. Wulfric, Herald, Roc, Pyra/Mythra (though I don't think you can unequip her), and Chapter 7's spoiler Blade are the ones I mainly cycle through using on Rex.
I definitely thought that Herald was pretty cool when I first saw her, mechs are always awesome, and she has a pretty cool looking one.
So depending on which is easier to answer/shorter to list, which rare Blades do you actually have/still need to get? I still have quite a few left, I've gotten all the side-quest related ones except for Theory and Sheba I think, and from the RNG Core Crystal system I've still yet to get Dahlia, Zenobia, Newt, Adenine, Electra, Nim, Azami, and Finch.....oh yeah, and of course the ultra, super, mega, impossibly rare and illusive KOS-MOS (grrrr) >_> ...Though I think most people probably don't have her, considering how rare the chances of actually getting her are.

My problem with that has been actually keeping the party gauge filled to the point where I can use the chain attack, because I keep wind up needing to use the gauge to revive the other members of the party or get myself revived. And I haven't actually been using Rex in the party set-up because he's one of the characters that's too close to Douchenozzle's own level, so he hasn't had high survivability in the fight. I've actually been controlling Nia (because otherwise she hasn't been fast enough keeping up with the heals and keeping everyone's health topped off in the fight) and then using Morag and Zeke as my backup due to the three of them being my currently highest leveled party members.

KOS-MOS.  Finch, Miss dahlia, a few side quest blades
And by the way, Zenobia is OP, you have to hunt uniques, but it's worth it.

Also, sheesh, you have one heck of a problem, I personally go after the side guys, using blade combo's on the leader and keep the aggro off Nia

princessarien In reply to Dark9519 [2018-01-07 04:54:28 +0000 UTC]

Hehe, KOS-MOS the one Blade everyone wants...and no one has XD If most of the rares you're missing are the sidequest ones, sounds like you've done pretty good for yourself on that front.
I'm assuming you mean fighting the unique monsters? In which case, meh, that's not really that bad, they're a lot of fun most of the time...though if it requires them to be unfought/slain before I'd have a little issue since most of the obvious and easily accessible ones I've killed already (except for when they're several times my own level that is). The ones in Spirit Crucible Elpys are like the only ones I haven't touched at all yet simply because I absolutely loathe that location and avoid it as much as possible due to not being able to properly use Blade combos there

Going after the two flunkies is usually what I do first as well, and I can always handle them with no problem. The main guy actually isn't usually too much a problem either for me (unless I get really unlucky) until he goes below half-health, that's when he really starts being a problem, as that's when the other two start dropping, and that's the point when Nia would start getting aggro since he transfers it from whoever "died" onto Nia instead >__>

*Thinks...*
i really don't know, unless you can use a chain attack with 1-2 orbs, something you may want to do is switch party members

(also, screw  Spirit Crucible Elpys!)

princessarien In reply to Dark9519 [2018-01-13 02:16:48 +0000 UTC]

Well, I know I'll get it eventually...probably after I've drastically over-leveled for that specific fight But still, I'll get Theory eventually, just as I will all the others.

Spirit Crucible Elpys is just plain evil, whoever designed that specific place was a total sadistic bastard, especially whoever had the bright idea to design side-quests that'd send you back there! The end of that one merc side-quest is especially bad. I saw what I had to fight at the end of it, went "nope" and beat it the hell out of there and haven't looked back once...I'm probably never going to finish that specific side-quest just because of how much I utterly despise the Spirit Crucible.

How about those Unique monsters? I just waited until I was at endgame to go and kill them.
BTW, you want to complete some of the affinity charts? you fave to defeat Riiks in the mid level of the area, which prevents Level 2 and upwards blade comboes

AND DON'T GET ME STARTED ON THE BOSS THERE. What was the point of 50 Phantasm's again?

princessarien In reply to Dark9519 [2018-01-14 03:50:07 +0000 UTC]

Ugh, screw them with a cactus >_< I had a hard enough time just running for my life past them to get through the Spirit Crucible, I'm just glad I had Morag up to so high a level at that point, by playing as here I was able to just run right past just about everything but the unique monsters without aggroing them. So I basically didn't have to fight at all until I got to the very end of the place, or if I happened to get too close to the unique monsters. The worst one of the uniques though by far is that one urchin that managed to bond itself to a Blade...that one is a hundred times worse than any of the other ones I encountered in there. The only unique monster I managed to kill in the Spirit Crucible was that one mole thing up on that narrow stone arch by that river that leads to the Grave Robbers Haunt, I managed to luck out somehow and knocked it off the bridge when it had a good chunk of its life taken down...and the fall damage did the rest for me XD

You mean like ghosts of Adam or whatever it was they were? They were definitely annoying, but I didn't have any real trouble with them. The fight just dragged on for a while because I couldn't kill them fast enough before they'd start multiplying again, but other than the fight getting artificially dragged on, I didn't have any actual trouble with the shades.
