While i disagree that bloodsucking can't be sexy AND horrifying at the same time, i'll stick to the art - which is badass. <3 good job!

This is nice! The way you portrayed your vampire very much reminds me of the way Dracula is portrayed on Ultimate Spider-Man, Avengers Assemble, and Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. Keep up the good work!

Actually, Ultimate Spider-Man, Avengers Assemble, and Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. are all animated TV shows on Disney XD.

Can't imagine the blood of a poisonous spider tastes good, but Kain will take any blood as long it doesn't poison him.

I liked a lot he wasn't another neck-biting horny vampire but rather a warrior who drank even from the most awful creatures. Liked the way he drank too, consuming blood from a distance and not touching the body.

Definitely a nice change of a pace from the sexualized vampires and a throwback to vampires as monsters.

Anne Rice got misinterpreted. The blood sucking was meant to have a sexual overtone in Dracula, but not a consensual one. Essentially it was allegory for rape. And that's sort of what Anne Rice was getting at, as far as I understand. She was getting at the fact that, for all the bluster and pomp her vampires might try to put up, they're ultimately monstrous and the end result is a similar allegory of rape. They just do so in less forceful ways and more manipulative ways. So there's also domestic abuse worked in. Her works were deeper than what most people seemed to get out of it, and the pathetic attempts to knock-off her work without seeing more than romance is what led to Twilight (but Twilight was more the latest in a long line of this kind of thing).
In Kain the bloodsucking works this way best, not just from the 'evil and cruel' aspect, but also from a purely gameplay perspective.

Anne Rice's bloodsucking is obviously connected to sexuality but not purely a rape as the suffering one is visibly enjoying it. The same theme shows up in similar authors' works, some of these didn't meant to be more than soft porn for lonely housewives.
Back to Anne Rice, her vampires are enslaved by their emotions and the love-hate relationship to other vampires they share their unlife with, they didn't looked monstrous at all rather provided the soil for today's pre-teen fictions with emo highschool vampires.
Before any misunderstanding I don't like vampires in general because of the genreic traits mentioned above, can they be adults' fiction or children's lit.
As for Kain -he's the exceptional vampire I like- he was created without the features of today's vampires, he's rather a barbarian warrior with weird feeding habits so it was a welcomed thing his feeding didn't required to touch the body and had no sexual undertone in it, rather pure rage. If his developers wanted they could've made him drinking via neck bite but it wasn't needed for the character.

I read Anne Rice when I was 13 and even then I was like, 'dude, you disabled them from even having sex...THAT JUST FUCKING BLOWS' - but for me that was more on a psychological and physiological logic mindfuck. I'm not into that series anymore, nor could I stomach Twilight..
Blood Omen II was the FIRST M-rated game I ever played..and I enjoyed every damn minute of it. I like my vampires like Kain, he set the bar. However, if there is -any- implication of romance, it would have to be in a brutal and raw real way..not some lovey dovey pining bullshit.

I have no willing to read anything by Anne Rice or L.K.Hamilton, J. R. Ward and co. women's lit authors. Watching Interview with the vampire and Queen of the damned bored me to death with their moaning bisex emo vampires, developed a major dislike to modern vampires. Twilight is rather their watered down version for preteen girls, I laughed a lot on that movie.
Blood Omen 2 was my first vampire game, I almost didn't bought it because of the bad reputation of vampires, was afraid of it'll be about romances and horny bloodsucking, and loved it a lot for lacking of vampire cliches and being a purely violent barbarian tyle warrior game. (played Rune before Blood Omen 2, confused the two games after the first play) I like Blood Omen as it is, without any romantic crap.

I stopped reading the stories as I got older because I just couldn't find any vampire novels that thrilled me like Blood Omen II did. So now, I just prefer to consider it a part of the past that is gone.
And I like it without romance as well. I should have been more specific as to what I meant, not for the Legacy of Kain series- the only kind of 'romance' I associate with vampire novels is dark...not something cliche or pining or..jeez, I'm making myself sick just thinking of it. You know what? Forget romance..I'm just good with a basic, brutal, no-strings-attached sex romp then some fighting or something. Bleh.
