Description
This is not an in-depth tutorial, just progress shots and a brief description of what I did. Hopefully it is helpful to see the steps ^^

1. I drew up a template for the bows shape with printer paper I had taped together.
2. The middle of the bow is a piece of wood so that it would be sturdy.
3. I glued styrofoam boards to both sides of the wood using wood glue
4. I used a dremel to start carving the styrofoam into the shape I wanted. This was all free handed.
5. Finished product after about 6 hours of carving.
6. I paper mached the entire bow using the funny papers, then stood it upright with the soda bottles so I could fiberglass it without it sticking to the table. Second photo is what it looked like after the fiberglass dried.
7. I painted a blue base coat
8. Added highlights and details. The bow took about 3 and half hours to paint.
9. Finished it off by gluing black bias tape around the center.
