Because Kappa are so cool. They're very cool guys, and they're nice and good at pottery and they eat cucumbers and melons. Their underwater houses are kinda like beaver dams.Related content

don't Kappa's have that little dish thing on their heads? y'know, that growth that the have to fill with water to keep themselves from drying up and they'll sometimes wear some kind of hat to keep the water in.

Yeah, kappa were very maligned for a long time, but people have made peace with them and found out they were nice. All that stuff about anal vampirism was just a racist myth ^_^
