Well it's finally completed, in time for Christmas too, which is a surprise. I'm normally lazy but I've got it done now so oh well.This is the completed version of Sode No Shirayuki, for my friend. The photo quality sucks but it'll do, I'm hoping she'll like it. It looks better in real life anyway.
It's made all out of wood other than the ribbon and the beads, I haven't taken the measurements but it's about the same size as my other two swords.
Oh and evil plant pot of doom is evil... Gah.

I was going to try and create my own Sode no Shiraiyuki actually.
I had an idea and was wondering about your thouights on it.
You know how Yuki-chan's ribbon makes a nearly perfect circle in the anime (like when the ribbon is in slow motion in the air)? Well, what if you sewed two pieces of ribbon around wire or pipe cleaner to get the shape? Would it work?

You should it's amazingly fun.
Funny enough I had an idea similar to that but I decided against it, but it's possible it would work. The real problem would be that it may get in the way or the wire could tear the ribbon after a while, and as pipe cleaners usually bend too easily you'll have to keep adjusting the circle. I actually have no idea if it would work but that's all the fun of trying out new things, sorry I couldn't help more.

Hmm.. that could work. You could try and pad the end of the wire with some foam or something and tape all the way around to secure it into place more, that may work. Sorry that I'm not all that helpful.
