FINALLY I FINISHED THIS //SOBSSeriously, I took me way too long to find time to finish this commissions because of many reasons haaaaa - but now It's done, and I'm pretty glad of the results !
I played with colder colours for once, hope it looks okay ! And these feathers took me half the shading time I think, waaaah >v<

The good:
I love, love, Love the limited color palette! The cool blues and the warm green to yellow hues are almost relaxing, which is a very cool juxtaposition to the tense subject matter. The composition and cropping of the piece are interesting and work well. The stylized feathers are a nice touch also.
what I think you could improve on:
i think some added contrast could really help out with this piece. For instance if you made the mouth crease the darkest value in the composition and built out from there that might give you some more punch. Some extra contrast may also help define the head from the ear closest the viewer. Currently the head/closest ear read as one region to me. My brain is telling me that the subject is furry, but nothing about the treatment of the surface communicates fur to me (neither good or bad, just sharing.). I am not sure what the body mass, further away, under the chin is. Perhaps blurring that section could help communicate to the viewer that it really isn't part of what you are wanting to communicate.
Overall:
i am impressed with this piece. The colors and tense subject coupled with good composition work together to make a interesting piece. I think you may have just got lost somewhere along the way, and I can almost feel some frustration with piece. I really think if the contrast was increased a bit, and the values really hammered down, this would be incredible.

This looks so cool! The shading is amazing, especially how you merged the blue and yellow on the feathers. Perhaps you could have darkened the background a bit, so it fits the title and makes the character stand out more, but other than that I think it's amazing!

I mean, I have only 244 watchers, that's not many (tho I think that's already a lot to me ! Don't misunderstand me here, haha), and some people judge art value on the number of people who know the artist, so they won't "waste" $15 for an unknown artist work... (I'm a bit salty when I remember that some artist make people pay 75 fucking dollars for a single sketch that takes them literally 15 minutes ?? This is a extreme example, but man, that sucks when people abuse of their popularity hhHHH)

but as long as you're happy with what you're doing and you're trying your best, I don't care how well you draw, You're still and amazing artist~ And this is why i REFUSE to say no one can draw! Because everyone CAN! As long as they put forth effort and trying their best, they can draw wonderfully ~~

(I had my art stolen once.. it was kindda scary at the time, but it's really not that big of a deal now... haha at least we shut down the profile who was stealing so many other people's art too! I mean... you can repost something as long as you have the creators permission and you give them credit!)

Personally, I don't wanna be a professional artist since that's a very unstable job and I'm not that confident with deadlines etc.. But I'd love to work as a scientist, because I'm love biology and I wanna be useful to others ! I'm fascinated about genetics and exobiology too, so I believe I'll work on either these two haha.. (tbh, my biggest job related dream would be to work for the NASA, but that's a very ambitious project so I don't really trust I can do it.. but if I manage to get the opportunity to do so, I'll sure take it ! ;v
And Maths are cool, yeah ! Although I started to hate it at time this year because of its difficulty (idk in which grade you are, but this subject is sometimes such a pain during the 12th grade haha.. I wish you'll be better at it than me then ! I don't have a a very bad mean, around 10/20 or 12/20, but I struggle to get it help ), but that still an interesting subject to me! I like sciences in general, since I love discovering how everything around us work etc ! (But I believe you already noticed how much I love sciences, haha !)

That's good and really cool how you enjoy science! My science teacher was a former NASA worker, and she says that you don't necessarily have to be good at science to get in! They higher many different people, so hopefully you could write an application and get in!

And I'm 18 since a month now, haha ! I won't have time to have a job the next two years since I'm doing a prépa (no translation since that's a thing you can barely find out of France, but in a nutshell that's like doing the three first uni years, but in two years only. It can seem unfairly hard, but doing this "rolls out the red carpet" for you if you wanna enter in reputed school and such things), but after I'll try to manage to find a job in a laboratory if possible ! :>
And of course I know it since a while now! That's very interesting, but that's going to be hard to figure out if there's life there or not, as going on the bottom of its huge ocean (80km+ if I remember right) impose to have insanely pressure-resistant equipment :"> But that's one of the challenges that just wait to be risen up !
Same here, learning culture in class can be as efficient as just speaking to native people or going in the said country haha !

And yes it'll be stressful, but, as I always say, that's two years to sacrifice but it worths it ! I don't wanna being refused in a School because I made my studies into my region's uni, so doing a "prepa" allows me both to study not too far from my home and to have bigger chances to get the Uni/school I want after ! ;v;
But sadly, doing this means that I'll barely have time and not much force left to draw (or doing anything social tbh), except during the holidays maybe.. I hope it'll be alright, I'm such a big procrastinator at time so that'll be hard omfg //coughs
