characters: Credence , Newt , & Cricket The twins met Credence at the Flower Festival for the first time where Cricket clicked pretty quickly with his kind and mellow personality. Though they couldn't stay long before heading back to help work at their family's farmstand, they agreed to meet up again soon. Unfortunately, due to Cricket's ever-struggling memory, their plans seemed to slip his mind and Newt, who was fairly wary of Credence from the start (for no other reason than the way Cricket looked at him), fails to remind their brother of the event ... perhaps even placing a few extra distractions for good measure ... and they fail to meet Credence.
Yet, much to Newt's dismay, the three end up crossing paths again, on mere chance. Credence, who originally seems a bit hurt on being stood up a few weeks ago, is taken aback when Cricket doesn't seem to recognize him and struggles to make out his name. Given a few moments to adjust and Credence seems to catch on, at least mildly to Cricket's inability, and offers to tie a string around his wrist in hopes of building a firmer memory of him.
Whether it's been working or not is questionable sometimes, but Cricket does tend to ponder the reminiscences of the event whenever he focuses on his new bracelet. And oh boy Credence is kinda pretty isn't he? ... Though that realization of Cricket's has only seemed to worsen Newt's opinion of their new "friend".

Cricket looks wonderfully messy and scarred here for no other reason than, he probably should have looked like that to start :') I've also been experimenting with my style in hopes to match it closer to how I draw cartoon-ish humans and I'm enjoying it a lot more !!
anway, these three are great and even though Cricket's crush is pretty obvious don't tell him that a'ldkfgj ... Newt's feeling like a major third wheel in this scenario though and just kind of silently squints between the two of them while giving Credence a majorly cold shoulder lmao
