Amazing capture of the connection between your grandmother and the house. You think, "It's just a house! We'll find some place much nicer for you to live. You'll love it!" but yet, we will never fully understand all the connections we have with our old houses.
When we sold our home of 25 years up in NY to move 1,000 miles south to GA, it was actually our children (who had moved out a half dozen years earlier) who had the hardest time. It was the house they had grown up in, full of memories. it was hard to walk away.
