Description
On a reconnaissance mission to the hot Kuatan Jungle on Outworld, Kenshi finds himself being hunted by a mysterious predator.
Because the psychokinetic swordsman manages to evade the creature's ranged attacks, it grants him the honor of a close-kombat fight to the death.
Kenshi bests the ugly warrior, using his katana, Sento, to deliver a fatal blow.
He would take his fallen opponent's body back to Earthrealm, where the Special Forces' scientists analysed the alien's technologically advanced weaponry.
Among them; a cloaking device.
The blind Kenshi now wears special fabric that [ironically] enables him to become temporarily invisible.

I have a big map on my pc with a lot of artworks I collected over the years, representing MK characters. Basically, if I feel like something looks like an MK character, I'll save it. That way, I always have a ton of references for when (and if) I want to do some pixel editing, or whatever. These recent character edits are often a combination of different references. I don't have to completely come up with designs on the spot as such.
For Kenshi, the idea is that he's wearing an high-tech camouflage combat suit, along with some more traditional Japanese armored parts (the yellow bits). The reference I used for it also had a small orb right over his forehead, atop of the hood, akin to an Apache helicopter's radar, which I thought was a really cool idea, although this image is too small to really show that.
