Man i hate sci-fi movies and i really hate alliens but this short film make me love em!!! i would say the detayls was perfect and your story verry good!! i hope you can continue making more eps of R'ha !!!
You can go for the top man !!! wish you the best and you have gotten your self one more fan to root for you

Saw this short film on YT just now. Wow man. I loved it. The android's design was great; I love the fact that it looks like a cold, unforgiving device - it doesn't have any expression to it at all and appears completely menacing. I thoroughly enjoyed the 'insanity' banter, where Aekon accuses the robot of being mad to which it replies by telling him that he can't be, I kept going back to it and repeating to watch it. Bloody awesome. If you could answer me this, what the hell kind of software were you using to create such immense detail?

I used Maya for the most part but most of the modeling was done in Blender, which I really know by heart, having worked with that for 8 years prior to the movie. zBrush was my sculpting tool of choice (and texture paint). Compositing mostly done in Nuke but also some stuff in After Effects.


I don't think it's a matter of program (to a certain extent), I rather focused on what's important. Aekon's entire body had about 70.000 polygons, his face alone however had another 70.000 because I wanted the wrinkles Another example is that the robot "face" is way more detailed than anything in the back.


Also I think it helps a lot to do low poly modeling as an exercise. You really learn where to put the detail and how to efficiently use it.

can you give me an advice ?
I am from country where vfx is not very commonly user we dont have any schools in this area and id like to know how can i get profesional in Maya i learn maya from digital tutors now i want be even better, also i like zbrush.

You need passion first of all and try to find your own solutions to the problems you encounter. Find something you want to create and finish it

Projects are the best way to learn. If you plan on doing something like a shortmovie or a 3D model, just start doing it. Find some minor goals to reach during the process and give yourself deadlines.


If you really want to do it you may consider moving to where you will find a school for that.

I find itΒ΄s a good way to collect a bunch of random words and let them inspire you. Co-incidence is a friend of the artist

Besides that, just work on it and talk about it with people you trust. Maybe this helps.
