God, it was so hard to get second place on purpose, Keke had already gotten a glimpse of the prizes that awaited them after this quarters Pemberly show and the race was on to figure out what they had to do to get all of the best, most obnoxious clothing yet again. Never before had the man entered a show just for the prizes but it was the biggest lure of Pemberly Park, who wasn't jealous of his hot pink flower patterned breeches?

Prior to his ascension to the rank of "big boss" the stables had had a strict dress code, only the Official Stables Outfits comprised of a plain shirt in their dark red with the gold logo stitched on the chest. Plain tan or white breeches and minimal if any accessories only, how boring. The previous managers had been so preoccupied with creating a brand for themselves that they'd never achieved anything, meanwhile Keke and his stupid pants were immediately recognizable anywhere they went.

The man had brought two horses along on his quest for obnoxious outfits, his two newest superstars Hunnu and Sugaa. Originally intending to compete in both Advanced Dressage and what would be his first CSI5* Keke's plans for his and Hunnu's debut was ruined when the stallion stepped on litter left on a horse path by a careless spectator, rendering him hopping lame. Or more specifically, the horse thought he should be hopping lame after such a grievous wound and would behave as such for maximum sympathy.

He had already been checked out by the on-site vet who labeled him "dramatic, but fine", finding no visible wound on the horses hoof with even the most rigorous examination. Regardless, the stallions perceived level of injury made him far too pathetic to even be considered rideable at the moment and his entry was scratched, leaving behind only Sugaa to earn them those sweet sweet coolers.

Despite being known only as a jumper Keke had actually done quite a bit of dressage in his day, most notably he had purchased the accomplished eventer Velvet for his own dressage-learning purposes before passing her off to the stables new eventing riders. Sugaa was no different, as a former CCI3* horse with his previous ownrrs the only parts of the test that were new to him were the baby pirouettes but Andreas had prepared him well. Probably. He hadn't been given much advanced warning but how hard could a quarter canter pirouette be?
