Description It's been a few years since I did one of these (I think?) so I thought now that I consider myself a full time artist it would be interesting to see where I "started". I put started in quotes because we know I didn't actually start drawing in high school lol.

This chart only shows my progression from the very end of high school leading into my first year of college. There were definitely some rough years as I discovered and dealt with the harsh realities of being an adult living on my own, but then there were some years that my art progressed considerably!

I graduated college in 2008, and you can see that much of my improvement happened *after* college. Proof that you don't need art school to continue learning! I discovered the amazing world of art on Youtube (Feng Zhu, Stephen Silver, Noah Bradley to name a few) and learned SO much from following all of their videos.

2009-2010 I was living a full on retail-hell (2 retail jobs through 2 holiday seasons) and was so done with the city I was in. My husband and I made the BEST decision ever and moved to Seattle. I ended up getting a retail job again but it wasn't nearly as bad as before.

From 2010-end of 2014 I focused on basically climbing the latter at any job I got. Every new job was better than the last, I pushed for management, pushed for higher and better pay and really built my resume - not even art related! I worked on paying off student loans and building a savings for when I was ready to go full freelance.

January 2015 my contract ended at the job I was at and decided it was time. Progress has been a little slow this year since I got married (I planned the entire thing too, lots of time spent there haha) and then traveled for another wedding and family stuff.

It was a very rocky, crazy, stressful but rewarding journey from 2005 until now. I lost myself, I found myself, and more importantly I know where I'm going now. I feel that in many ways I haven't improved as much as I wanted to, and it's something I'm currently focusing on more now. I feel...I should be further along than I am, but such is life. I will keep pushing forward!

I look forward to continue meeting new people and learning new techniques in my art. One day I want to take classes at an Atelier too, wouldn't that be amazing =]

Your so skilled...It's really cool seeing this process you went through. I love your dragons out of these and kind of chuckled at that one duck among a bunch of fantasy things XD

Thanks a bunch! Haha yeah there are a couple elk in there too I still greatly enjoy drawing wildlife and doing more fine-artsy type of paintings and drawings
