I got you, I remember studying this. It's like we're dying (returning to God) and coming back continuously and simultaneously... many many times within a small moment? Like a lightbulb on AC, the moments are too frequent to notice that the light flickers.
I was just making an allusion to the use of your word in"long" exposure. In your long exposure, you captured those flickers but I assume it as a continuous existence. I assume that the two characters in your image have existed for as long as that photograph was taken, but (according to this thought) I know that their existence flickered even in this moment.
