I love Soul Eater! I just saw the anime and the damn ending pissed me off. It was the stupidest ending. Kishin was mad bad ass, then he got stupid. What the hell was that?! Anyway, awesome picture! Definatly gonna read the manga now to see Kid get kidnapped!

Great artwork. i esp like how crazy you made 'evil kid' (only watched the anime.. but i have been hearing stuff from the manga, sounds great and intense.. i even saw some official genderbending) and the liz and patty faces in the back were a nice touch.
so, what ARE weapons liz and patty doing since kidd is of being evil and crazy.. i am assuming they did not go bad with him? are they just chilling a shibusen?

Since Kid was kidnapped, Liz and Patty have been training at Shibusen so that they could be strong enough to rescue him (Patty will be the meister). They're on a mission to rescue him right now, and they haven't seen him quite yet (though they will VERY soon). I was just depicting the sort of reunion I'd like to see.
But seriously, I highly recommend reading the manga. The events in the manga after Battle for Brew are SO much more epic than the anime's lackluster ending. In fact, you should start at ch. 37, since the anime changed the end of the Brew fight. You can read Soul Eater at mangareader.net. [link]

Yep, you won't miss too much, but it never hurts to browse through some earlier chapters. The anime did change some details (ie: Crazy!Maka was stabbed in the forehead by Crona in the manga, but she was stabbed in the shoulder in the anime) and left out some minor scenes (mostly joke scenes).
Oh yes, the anime went way downhill in comparison to the manga. I can tell you that the manga's Capture Baba Yaga arc was infinitely more epic, and Arachne actually gets a real (and uh-mazing) fight in the manga. Heck, Black*Star vs Mifune in the manga (3rd time) was so much better and more emotional than the anime's. Mosquito gets another fight too (which is my favorite fight by far) in which we see two more of his forms (200 years past and 400 years past).

okay, so i might as well skim thru previous chapters.
i was doing that a little before and i also notice that make does use tsubaki in their fight with free when in the anime she rejects her invitation as useless.
yeah, i bet its more epic! capture baba yaga was kinda lacking in the anime compared to what it COULD have been. and makas defeat of asura with the punch of courage? com'on haha. Definitely will check the manga out.
btw.. do you foresee and end to the manga relatively close? or do you see a onepiecer coming

Hmm, it's hard to tell how long it will be. I don't see an end in the near future, but I don't think it'll be as long as One Piece. I think it'll be longer than FMA, but I don't know by how much.
Yeah, that anime ending was ridiculous. I disliked seeing one of my favorite characters (Maka) get Mary Sue'd like crazy.

Oh man, I cried when Kid was kidnapped! T.T Even still, the scene in which Liz holds Patty to Noah and demands for him to return Kid is one of my favorite scenes in the entire manga.

Ah, I didn't know about that site. However, it does seem to be a bit behind. Mangastream.com has just started posting chapters, and they have ch. 73 and 74. All of Soul Eater is available on Mangareader.com (be careful with spyware/malware on that site, though).
I agree that Yen Press made a VERY stupid mistake. Legally, they have every right to protect their licensed property, but they are literally biting the hand that feeds them. Since I've joined the Soul Eater fandom, I've seen Soul Eater skyrocket in popularity thanks to the online community. On OneManga, it jumped from being ranked in the 200's (when I began) to being #14, well before Yen Press or Funimation licensed Soul Eater for their distribution. The internet fandom, not Yen Press, made Soul Eater popular (and it is, in some regards, more popular in the US than it is in Japan), and fighting against the online Soul Eater fanbase is an extremely stupid move.

Yeah... That's really stupid :/ I noticed they took down Spiral too. But it has been the fandom that made them big indeed! They can be more grateful for that. I actually bought the manga because I heard all good things about it. And I heard good things about it, because of the scanlations.
