Well, here it is, the final Gift of 2016. The Gemstone themed Choushi Sentai Guardianger. This one probbably is my persional favorite of the Xmass batch this year, with ResQger being a damn close second. I went for a very minimalist design with these guys, focusing greatly on the gold accents and the large gemstones that decorate their suits.
This team consists of a four man core team, and two additional Rangers. I didn't feel it nessisary to go overboard with desining the Extra Rangers, and I think it works out pretty well.
There was meant to be one more, but I honestly didn't have time sense I'm leaving town for the Holidays in a few hours. More on that later.

Oh, and just out of curiosity - which was that last gift you didn't have time for? I'm seeing one or two that didn't get pixel-arted up, so I'm curious as to which one it was.

There were only Five Gifts chosen out of the ones that entered, I reached the quota. The thing was, this image was supposed o have another Ranger, but I didn't have time to make it and I couldn't come up with a design.

Thanks a Mega Mighty Morphin' bundle, man!! I gotta say, the minimalism-like designs here really fit my would-be head visual. And...uh, I suppose I can understand the need to leave out the one-off hero. Maybe some time after the holidays, you'd be wiiling to accept it as a commission? (if you're unable to reply right away, I understand, you're probably gone already)
Anyway, all in all, thank you Very Very SO very much, Gary. I really appreciate this. I love it.

Chouishi Sentai Guardianger
超石戦隊ガーディアンジャー
(Ultra-stone Squadron Guardian-ger)
These four were chosen by the last of the beings known as Royals to protect existence itself from the evil Noroidars (based on "curse"). The Noroidars want the power of the Chouishi, a crystal-stone of great power, to use for their evil conquest of the universe.
The Guardiangers get their abilities from a combination of their pure hearts and the great power that the Chouishi holds. The Royals have entrusted them with using the crystal's power for the good of the universe, as they did before time itself began.
Red Guardian is male, has the motif of a ruby, and is powered by the element of Chi.
Midori (Chartreuse) Guardian is female, has the motif of peridot, and is powered by the element of nature.
Navy Guardian is male, has the motif of sapphire (I tried), and is powered by the element of storm.
Violet Guardian is female, has the motif of amethyst, and is powered by the element of heart.
They start with four, then get a fifth who acts as the would-be sixth.
Crystal Guardian is diamond-colored, as in the suit isn't solid spandex, but like a bright, translucent version of the material in ToQ Dark's suit. She's female, has the motif of a diamond, and is powered by the element of void.
They also have an evil counterpart, who remains evil up to being destroyed.
NoroiDark (combo of black and crimson) is male, has the motif of a scapolite, and posesses the powers of fire, earth, and water. (headcanon says his overusage of all this power is what leads to his downfall)
They also get a one-off movie hero with the motif of mystic quartz, who can unite and wield all of the team's elements (not pictured here)
