You're quite welcome.

It's nowhere near as dark...the 'Cyberpunk' reference was more to the technical level of the architecture.

Speaking of...Roger Dean has a great website that talks about his architectural artistic works if you're interested at all: [link]

Your work really reminds me of his...which to me is very cool (and not just because I like Yes).

Ahh I see ,thx for the link In the meantime I consulted google and wikipedia and I think that I'll focus a bit more on steampunk in the future ^^ Its still cyberpunk in some way but with steam as main energy source and mystic mechanic stuff ...

Very cool...and you're quite welcome.

Ever see the animated movie called "Steamboy?" There's a lot of beautifully done architecture combined with the "Steampunk" genre in it.

Nope never saw it. I havent been into cyberpunk, steampunk and things ,never knew about it till ppl in Thumbshare told me that my art looked like it
I knew the style but not thee name. I always adored the style of Warcraft Artworks but I didnt know that there are steampunk elements to it , like the dwarfen technology and the goblin steam-powered stuff.

oh goooorgeous, this is lovely, the colouring really sets it apart, the city is so alive with the almost iridescent lights! its like looking at a beetle shell, love how it has a kind of hazy glow and then rises to meet the sky. i really like how the clouds have become almost a part of the city, they have a semi-translucent thing going on which is so attractive, the highlights from the sun are very well placed as well, it gives it such a lazy, calm atmosphere which is strange in such a complicated city. love the small touches of transparency in the buildings at the front and the detailed texture of the roof of the one on the right, really emphasises the sense of depth, awesome stuff

Thx I wonder wether I should do more stuff on A 4 sheets. I usually draw cities on A 3.
A calm complicated city , that sounds really cool and describes it better than my description ... thats what I aimed for ,thats what I want to find when I wake up in my dreams.

Oooh, this turned out beautifully! Such warm, glowing colors.

The lighting on this is rather confusing, though. The background is all alight as though the sun were coming up from behind the city. However, the city spires are also bathed in that same glow, which the lower lying areas still sit in shadows.

I suppose that if the city were floating in the sky (as it may be), then this would make sense assuming the sun were still just below the horizon of the city and the city were not too vast. Still, it seems odd to me.

Overall, though, lovely work as usual! Wonderful colors and detailing!

Maybe there isnt only one sun There could be other suns , weaker ones , assuming that this world in the sky is endless. One central sun wouldnt be enough to provide light for the whole world. Or it would be so hot and bright that everything near it would be vaporized. so decentral multiple small stars are better .... lol ... but im kinda losin it ^^'

Thx for your feedback
