I think Dante (start ofDMC3) wouldn't have a chance with Bayonetta (not enough experience) but his older versions (DMC2, DMC4, DMC1) and also Dante after DMC3 would kick her ass.
But that's just my opinion

Well This Version Of Dante Is Very Powerful He Likely Multiverse level+Β The most powerful of all the Fiends. Fought with a near end-gameΒ Demi-FiendΒ who already fought and defeatedΒ Gabriel,Β RaphaelΒ andΒ UrielΒ at once, and could have easily one-shot him. Participated in the war againstΒ Godalongside True Demon Demi-Fiend.

Honestly I think Dante might be able to win since he has his Devil Trigger and Dreadnought form. Plus, his healing abilities are hard to ware down due to his strength and mastery of different weapons.Β
However! Bayonetta has large demons under her call and has a sexual way of fighting with the Gun Arts she uses (I can't remember the actual name). So she might win if Dante fell prey to his perversions and succumb to Bayonetta's charm and what-not.Β
Other than that, I can't really decide. I love the detail in this piece though, absolutely gorgeous!

Though I feel they would look toΒ be on more equal ground if Bayonetta's shot was aimed under his chin(or heart). i'm sure they both can shrug off and endureΒ a side shot.

Well I imagine in this scene Bayonetta would Witch Time out of this and shoot Dante up. But I doubt bullets would kill Dante that easily. So I think it would end up a draw. They could totally be friends.Β

Really people? Come on. Dante would totally own this. It just seems painfully obvious that Bayonetta, while unquestionably powerful (also weird as hell) does not have one thing that Dante does: THE ABILITY TO SHRUG OFF HORRENDOUS WOUNDS. You know, that thing Dante does when he holds conversations with his own sword rammed into his chest? He does that a lot, so a bullet to the kidney wouldn't do much.
So Bayonetta could shoot him all she likes, it won't do much. Also, seeing as she summons demons for her fights, and seeing as Dante has made a living slaying such demons, I think he would clearly come out the winner.
