There are 2 moons because that's how many moons Mobius had in the "Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog" cartoon from 1993, and when I draw a picture depicting the night sky of Mobius, I sometimes prefer to include them.
I made Shadow's pupils all black for aesthetic reasons. Sonic's pupils were black before 1998 and for aesthetic reasons, Sega decided to depict them with green irises. However, while Shadow's pupils may have red irises and Sonic's pupils may have green irises, I find that it does not suit the particular classical cartoon style that those characters were designed in. Therefore, as you can probably guess from the rest of my gallery, I do not depict them that way, especially not in every picture of them.
