I know well what's missing from my life, and this paragraph the same, yet the missing element is as tricky to detect here as it is in my face. While the fact is not necessarily hidden, most everyone doesn't think to look for this. For most, there's nothing wrong and perhaps there isn't. Yet I can't help to think than my life (and the writing of this metaphorical essay) might be easier if what is absent here were not.
