My second L wallpaper, and favorite of the two. (it's my desktop right now, haha)
Neither the image of L nor the blackletter 'L' were scanned by me cause I am waaaaay too anal to bend my manga back that far to scan it, haha. I used Orange Tangerine's scan from chapter eleven instead. So, uber kudos to those guys for not only giving us our DN fixes (and ruining their manga/jump in the process), but for providing me with wallpaper fodder! :3
Umm, let's see, let's see...this didn't take too terribly long to make. I copy and pasted the image of L first and tweaked with the blue curves a bit. The vertical lines were created by copying the "only eat apples?" layer, and doing a 90 degree motion blur on it w/ 999 pixel distance.
I was gonna write it all in Japanese, but I don't have any cool j-fonts. Ah well.

Thanks! But what I wrote is correct...the original Japanese reads: "Eru shitteiruka. Shinigami ha ringo shika tabenai." It could also be translated as "L did you know shinigami eat nothing but apples?" There is no (dai)suki. I don't read the VIZ copies though (they change things; it makes me angly)...chances are that's how they decided to translate it though, and that it's what you're going by, yeah?

Weeeeeeeeell, I live in San Fran, so I just walk to the Kinokuniya in Japan Town whenever I need my manga fix (and have moola). It's where I get all my porn, shoujo, and shounen manga. :3
*can't keep it in any longer* Actually, when we get enough members, the prize for the first L club contest is gonna be one volume of DN (and if it ends late enough, volume 3 might even be out!). I know a lot of people either can't afford it, or don't have access to purchase it (for whatever reason), and I wanna spread teh DN looooove, so I figure $6.50 + like a buck for shipping isn't too bad a pricea to pay. :3
