I'm finally getting around to critiquing this. I bet you were thinking that I wasn't going to do it. Well, I -am-. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/let… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Lick)"/>

I chose to critique one of your digital, non-fractal pieces because I feel as though you are quite strong in this field. Everyone and their mother does fractal art nowadays (or at least judging by the people who I follow on this website), but avant-garde digital art such as this is a more rare find. In particular, I like this piece.

I am not one to quickly dismiss minimalistic pieces. In the past 40 years or so, much of the modern movement has relied on minimalism. I -do- believe that minimalist art takes a good deal of effort, despite what some of the public wants to believe. There was a very beautiful piece of art which I almost bought. I remember that it was basically a white circle in the top left corner, with a black background behind it. Talk about symbolic, huh?

But I have yet to address the actual piece. Little Boxes has that nameless factor in it which I can't really describe. What I mean by that is that this piece stirs a lot of emotion with me; I can't name what kind of emotion it is, but it's definitely there.

The only criticism that I have is that it looks as if the right side of the piece is cut off. That doesn't look intentional.

Of course, with such a minimalist piece as this, it's tough to ramble on and on about the good stuff and the bad stuff, by the mere fact that it is lacking the details that would be apparent in other forms of art. I would encourage you to focus a bit more on pieces such as this, as they are quite beautiful, and I would also STRONGLY encourage you to start offering prints of your works. I am not saying that I myself would buy this, as I am quite poor (college student), but I can imagine other people doing so.

That's all that I have to say. Great job.

Sometimes when making prints you have to resubmit and then resize, then you end-up with a matte frame surrounding the whole image.

Before you comment, DeviantART cropped the picture pretty weirdly when I was critiquing it. I take back what I said about the right side being cut off.

It's so trippy.
