Description
I've decided that I hate the Mercenary class and the only reason I wasted my time with it was because I kept promising myself after every level that it was going to get better. So last night, I finally had enough, and rerolled Ketthan, this time with the ambition to become a Powertech. It fits his personality more, anyway.I'm also convinced he was born with 5 o'clock shadow.

you do know you could have just kept him and made a powertech right? i have a toon of every advanced class since it expands the replay value quite a lot. i don't know why you would delete him when you can just make another bounty hunter. its not like you don't have enough slots for new characters.

How's the power tech anyway? Was leveling on a double EXP weekend with one (with my Merc), and they were just plowing through everything. I was wondering if they were just good at their class, or what...
I've been having the same 'love-hate affair' with my own mercenary.
Problem is, I -love- healers (not particularly the Merc's healing style per-say--I like the Operative's best), and I fear that I won't have anything to like if I re-roll.

I think in my case, part of it had to do with the fact I was solo'ing the first time around with just Mako, therefore kinda forcing me into a tanking position and getting me into all kinds of trouble because I'm just not built for that no matter how much I played with my skill tree or how meticulous I was with keeping Mako's gear up to speed.
Ever since I re-rolled, I started playing with my husband's inquisitor and, ironically, ended up back in the DPS position - which I have no problem with as I love DPS. I'm only at level 19 now so I haven't really played with the powertech's abilities just yet but I do like the skill tree better. I feel like I can utilize everything it has to offer if I want instead of being forced to get useless crap in order to access better abilities. And there seems to be a lot more available for close range situations I sometimes end up in.
I'll probably work with the husbu next time we play to see how I do as a tank. Never played as a tank before so this should be interesting.

Oh. Person I played with -spazzed- when they got level 30.
They messed with talent trees, and I don't remember if it was an actual -attack- you get by default by leveling up, or something you learned through the talent trees.
It was basically a Warrior's 'force charge'.
Also, thanks for the awesome SW artworks. I'm glad I came across ya's... I feel inspired to actually work on some decent stuff now. I am always hesitant to do 'decent' work because it takes so many hours for me to do something it would normally take a better artist like 1 and a half hours to do. I also watched ya'.

And I feel you there, it always takes me a while to draw. I envy people who can whip out something in an hour or two, color and everything. Hopefully, I'll reach that level one day.

Everyone says, 'practice makes perfect'. I don't take 11 hours to do one of my better pictures any more...but it still takes a damn long time (About 6-7 now.)

Yeah, if I want to get anything done, I pretty much have to devout my entire weekend to it, or at least a good chunk of said weekend. Just not enough hours in the weekday for me. This is one thing about school I miss - I could at least draw in class while pretending to take notes.

I honestly wouldn't mind going to college some day for it, but it seems a bit mediocre to want to go to college to take a class on something you want to keep as a hobby/don't want to get a job for.

absolutely! and they then changing something, and seeing what they do with it. watching a character naturally grow is a huge reward for me

That would be nice. I was kinda surprised they didn't offer changing your advanced for at least Cartel Coins or something. Oh, wells.
He's 19 now. After double XP weekends, it's kinda sad watching your bar during the week.

Had to reroll SW bc wanted to switch to jugg, and wanted to go ls.
But i rly dont want to do korriban againD: i just finished kaas on her..... but having to redo kaas and korriban.................
Not to mention i forgot she had a load of imp memo military gear and cultural artifact gifts in her cargo hold when i deleted her :-/

Ugh, my feels exactly. I am not looking forward to doing Nar Shaddaa again. Redoing Balmorra wasn't so bad, but I barely remembered it. Also, playing with the husbu this time around has made it much more bearable.

Dalborra, one of the Asian servers. My husband picked it because it's one of the lighter ones and also easier to get help from others if they are in our same time zone.
