Description
It is war flag of the whole Japan People's Air Defense Forces, in the Seito timeline.
Because the Soviet Union had a large land area and cities were dispersed, they needed Air Defense Forces to intercept the enemy bombers. But in PRJ, they had only tiny area of Japan, and the interception of the bombers was carried out solely by the PAF, PRJ Air Forces. Inevitably, the PADF became a group of surface-to-air missile troops placed on the border.
Two prominent officers of PAF, Mamoru Tōdō and Hideo Aoki promoted the complement PAF. They used PADF as Air defence units of PAF, Through the political action to the government. Tōdō was a national hero, so they cannot ignore his pressure. So, especially in the end term, PADF/PRJ had been subjecting to PAF.
The flag of PADF was based on PAF flag too. The orange field means blast of the SAMs.
It was finally merged with PAF 1991.
