Description
The fictional rank insignia table, of Alternate Imperial Japanese Army.
Okay, this is one of two tables of imaginary rank insignias. It's officers insignia table, and both of shoulder straps like US army blue uniform and collar tabs like Reichsheer are used. This isn't my original idea but IJA on OTL had adopted this style in 1912 (strictly from 1905?).
The collar tabs show the officers/soldiers battle branch or corps in corps color, plus the number of these regiments in the metal gold-color badges, if they're in battle branch. Battle branch("Hei ka" in JP) means branches that fight against the enemies in front directly, such as Infantry, Cavalry and so on. On the other hand, corps("Bu" in JP, literally dept.) means support and rear units or service corps, like Medics or Juridical corps. Members of battle branches would buy gold line and star insignias, and of the corps would buy the silver ones.
Regimental numbers are showed only in the case that they constitute whole regiment in sole branch, however even in the case, General officers are wouldn't wear the badges. For example on the table above, "12" means 12th Logistics regiment, "5Ri" means 5th Raider infantry(Paratroopers) regiment. MPs haven't their own regiments, so there isn't number on tab.
This table is about only officers. Rank insignias for enlisted and the other corp colors are coming later.
And some corps colors are different from the OTL, but this table is for the Axis Cold War timeline of someone1fy , so its his/her IJA's table.
Some elements in this table are taken from Wikimedia commons.
P.S. to , sorry but some colors increased. And it's first half.

Would you mind if I ask something? Why did you guys use so much money to invest in Korean Peninsula after your Empire annexed Korea? I think you guys should never annex Joseon, but to make it as one of your puppet state.

Sorry for late to answer.
It's only my opinion but, seeing objectively, Korean peninsula has many fertile lands and rich mineral resourses.
So if Japan would succeed to develop them, Japan should have been able to grow more industrially.
And for developing agriculture and industry, it must be develop all of the lands.
And I cannot believe it but, some says that Japanese higher-up sections thought that they invest in Korea as a part of Japan completely.
It means develop Korea as well as Japan. Building infrastructures, reconstruct society, educating people(as Japanese), and so on.
On this opinion, annexed Korea was not just buffer zone like Manchukuo, but a part of mainland Japan for them.
Then they must invest in the lands, and must harvest the wealth that comes from the lands.
That's because Japan spent the money to Korean peninsula, they say.

Hmm, that's why I also have been told in my country, South Korea. And I think it is plausible. And I'm worry about my country's president since he truly wants to stick with N.Korea and China. If the relationship between S.Korea and USA breaks once and for all, then we can expect not only the Norks also the Chinese will deploy their military assets.
The fate of South Korea will be doomed for good.
Anyway, I'm having my last summer vacation.
Many of Korean think that Japanese Empire was bad, but I'd rather say it is the Joseon (朝鮮) which had already led its destiny to an end.
Thus, you had gained what you want. If the war occurs again, I should hope all the members of Yi Dynasty who are still living in this planet bombed by the Norks.

It's nice to see you back, KaniShimada. I hope all is well with you.
I'll look into these ranks more carefully later on, but I have to say from looking at these that they're well thought out. They still retain the older Japanese style of ranks and corps colours. I tried doing something similar for my take on the DPRJ.
Use of those shoulder tabs is a definite must too.

Thank you for your comment and greetings!
I'm making the older style of IJA, but Axis cold war timeline is in 1960s, so I want to submit another table about newer IJA insignias that are collar tabs. When the time, I hope you enjoy the difference between the two.
