Abilities:
- Lycoris dislikes reading books but has a strong memory so as to memorize anything that he reads or sees even for a split-second. He also never forgets a name or forgets a face, especially of those he considered as enemies or rivals.
- He is good in pretending he is asleep, understanding and analyzing each and every word that is exchanged around him.
- He is very agile and quick on his senses. This is only held back by his naturally weak body.
- He is good in fist-fights and would rather settle arguments with that rather than fight with a weapon. Again, it is held back by his weak physique.

Personality:
A laid-back young lad, Lycoris is very far from being considered calm and collected. Usually very cynical and quick to judge, his rather ill-temperedness always shows. Though seemingly uninterested, the young mind is rather curious and thoughtful, to the point of being concluding most of the time. Lycoris is very lenient when it comes to his studies though, often sleeping the classes or lessons off or running somewhere to skip them. Nevertheless, he remains as a bright and intelligent lad.
Growing up as a servant, he’s learned to respect his superiors, and is rather well-mannered and polite around them. He also has a high respect for women, especially if they are younger than him. He often becomes quiet around the presence of others and keeps to himself most of the time.
History:
“I’ll come back for you. I promise.”
Lycoris was born as a servant under a powerful family in a secluded island. Both his parents were servants, and so his fate will be. But not too far on in life, a tragedy happened involving the house’s masters and his parents themselves. The only one left of the family was the young lord who was unspeakably cruel and irresponsible. As for the boy, his parents left him one: his younger sister that was not so far from his age.
Both children were trained how to clean and work things around the house. That was all there is to it if it weren’t for the curious minds needing more nourishments than learning how to clean. Lycoris and Tomato both strived to learn other things like reading, writing, and mathematics. It is not without the help of the young lord’s teacher who took interest in the two. They always sneaked in the library when they get the chance to, sometimes even falling asleep beside the dusty shelves that even the lord never intend to touch. This was truer to Lycoris however, as Tomato was more of the worker between the siblings.
From birth, the boy had a weak body and could not handle a lot of chores like carrying heavy stuff. Tomato knew this, and instead of making him work until his body tires out, she takes her brother’s load and accomplishes them on her own. That is so Lycoris won’t have to do anything and not risk falling down or getting ill. He knew that she was doing her best in the work of two people. The boy hated himself for being so useless, but his sister pushes it off his mind by saying, “They’re easy tasks. You could just teach me what you learn in the library when I return.” Teaching her did not satisfy him, and he felt that it did not equal what hard work she gives for both their sakes. At night, Lycoris sneaks out of their room and does even the smallest chores so that Tomato wouldn’t have to do them in the morning. That was how the siblings coped in their daily life as they grew up.
But there was still the young lord who eventually grew older as time passed by. Day by day, he became even crueler to his servants until eventually, only the siblings were left of him and his teacher who was becoming old as well. The two couldn’t do anything about it but continue serving him as there was no place else to go. Besides, the only places that they have visited were those pictures they see on the countless books in the library. Eventually, the lord’s learning years ended, and it was finally time for his teacher to depart the mansion. This evoked the two to plan sneaking out as the old man departs the house as well. Their teacher knew of their plan and helped them in their escape. When they depart the mansion, he will take care of them, and he will make them his apprentices.
A hopeful thinking they had as they managed to get out of the mansion gates that night. The two hid behind a bush as they waited for the time that the teacher’s carriage exits the gate. And as it did, both jumped in from the open door… or that’s what Lycoris hoped that happened. As he looked back to hold his sister’s hand, the only thing he saw were the young lord’s guards and the lord himself, holding the poor girl in his hands. He reached out for her, but the old man held him in his place. “They wouldn’t hurt her,” he said, “But both of you will be trapped if you go back.” Tomato just looked as the carriage rode away. A blank look crossed her—then a longing one, a melancholic… before a smile erased it.
They would slay her, Lycoris told himself. Watching her figure vanish in the dark of the night, his heart sunk in guilt. It was killing him.
The teacher taught Lycoris for a few months, but he knew that he couldn’t teach him what the boy wanted to learn. In his mind, he had already told himself countless times that he had killed his own sister… but for that, he wanted revenge. With Equinox reminding him of what he was seeking for, his master sent him to an institute: one that could teach him what he wanted to learn, and one that would send him closer to his goal.
