My take on this photo is actually quite different from your previous critique.
But that is the great thing about photography... we all see something different.
Well here goes....
I, who usually love black and white for portraits, do believe that you chose right in doing this photo in color.
It adds dimension and makes your subject stand out from the background. I also don't believe that he is tired of his life.
He seems intent on something he has probably done many times, but he looks very relaxed in what he is doing.
I think conceptually he is a little too much in the center of the shot, but I do like how the foreground draws you into where he is sitting, making you look at him.
The light play on his legs is good but his face a just a touch too dark.
All in all it is a great shot, just like so many others in your collection.

Makes you want to sit down and talk to him.
I would bet he'd have a lot of interesting things to tell.

*just to let you know, this is the first time, in my 7-years of existence here on dA, that someone great as you asked me (an amatuer) to critique his work. so pardon me, this is what i have to say on this photo, and sorry if it's in Tagalog/Taglish*
Ang pinaka gusto ko sa larawan mo ay yung nacapture mo ang essence ni lolo. You could see here an old man, tired of his age yet still wanting and trying to do something with the remaining years of his life on this particular day. I believe that you didn't asked lolo to pose for you and this is a spontaneous shot, and with that you had captured the real him.
As for the technicality of your photo, sana minove mo ng konti to the left para mejo kita yung table, and sana mejo mas malapit ng konti sa kanya para mas lalong makita yung hawak or yung ginagawa nya. Also, i think that it will have a more dramatic impact if it's in black and white. Pero, overall as it is, ok cya (so siguro, i-disregard mo nalang yung sinabi ko sa technicality, haha!) composition and lighting and all, ergo it is a beautiful shot.

Salamat talaga sa effort friend! I appreciate the suggestions on this shot, and I totally agree on all of it. Minsan kasi di mo marealize yung mga flaws kaya naisipan ko na hingin yung tulong mo. I realy enjoyed reading this and hope di ka magsawang punahin ang mga AFI's (areas for improvement) ko .
