I guess it does have that attraction.Β But you don't need to go in to pray, you can also go in and watch the wonderful artworks on display...

I assume "ride the Hellburner of Antwerp" is not a local tourist amusement ride.
( sorry, it's just if you are assigned Garrett Mattingly's history, THE ARMADA when you are in high school and read the pretty intense account of the Antwerp fireships , the atomic bombs of 1585, it does stick with you later. )
(that is a very beautiful cathedral and a great photo!)
(why yes, you could take one of those stupid swinging pirate ship amusement park rides and redecorate it with cardboard "flames", plastic "exploding" cannonballs on springs, etc and rename it "the Hellburner of Antwerp" And, yes, you couldΒ Β play a sound effect during the pre-recorded ride music of a huge explosion, and then pelt the ride-goers periodically with fake foam rubber severed heads, foam-rubber ploughshares, etc. You could do all this, but it might be regarded as being in somewhat questionable taste. )

Well, I got to hand it to you, you never cease to surprise me!
I'm sure not many know about the Siege of Antwerp of 1584-1585, and I'm sure even less know the story of the Fortyn and Hoop; when it comes to Antwerp and big bangs, most would be tempted to remember Von Braun and his deadly toys, some would probably quote the April 5th 1943 USAAF raid, and a handful might even remember the massive explosion of a munitions factory just outside Antwerp in 1889 (although I suspect most have forgotten that), but the Hellburners... few realise how they changed history, and their role in defeating the Armada only a couple of years later. >.>
