Senior Maiko Kikyo / Bellflower Kanzashi

This thing is huge! The kikyo on it's own is 10 cm / 3.93" and it was quite interesting folding the square pieces of material without tweezers (it was like folding origami XD).

I've regretted choosing to do the darker purple inside and the lighter purple outside. I didn't realise how much of the lighter purple would show till I finished it. If I were to do it again I would reverse that colour order.

I'm really tempted to make a mini version of this for a casual kanzashi since I find it adorable

Took me approximately 3.5 - 4 hours to complete (hard to say since I had to work it on and off throughout the day).

And I played with rice glue again! The leaves were done with rice glue. A bit easier this time since I let the glue sit for quite awhile and the material wasn't so heavily starched.
