The ending is an indoctrination attempt, the only one where it's not a failure is the Destroy option. They might as well have put big block letters "INTERMISSION" instead of the Credits. They should have called this Mass Effect 3 Part 1. I think it's the same thing they did with the last Harry Potter movie.

It IS however a conceptual rip-off of this: [link]
- Big Red Beam
- A galactic tranport network is blown up in a chain reaction by said red beam propagating through it
- the superweapon has petals, 5 for Citadel, 8 for Black Sun
- UEF/Aeon want to enslave/destroy all Cybrans, Reapers want to enslave/destroy all sentients.
- interestingly, in the last UEF mission counterpart to this you have to nab a critical Black Sun component off an island the Aeon commander has sent a fleet to guard, inspiration for Catalyst?
(Note: if interested in SupCom, do not buy SupCom 2, get Supreme Commander 1 and Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance, the stand-alone expansion, off Steam. Learning SupCom 1 will help make the learning curve in FA not overwhelming even though some aspects changed such as less OP experimentals and far more aircraft health relative to anti-ground weapons so your air fleet won't get caught and destroyed on the ground instantly by a few tanks)

I dont care if I have to pay for it or not I need some a better ending for this game. It makes no sense and it completely ignores what we have done leading up to that point. Whats the reason of curing the genophage and uniting the quarians and geth if were going to destroy the mass relays and abandon the giant joint species counter attack force in Earth space. ALSO I romanced tali and liked the idea of my shep going off and living on rannoch. So yeah sorry about my rant... but this pic is pretty damn funny and gets the just of it all.

Glorious Bioware...flushing two VERY good games and the legacy behind them down the toilet with a half-assed clusterfuck of storyline known as the third and final installment. Honestly...I couldn't even begin to elaborate on my disappointment.

This was the worst thing, nothing would explain WHY Joker would turn tail and RUN from the battle instead of shooting Harbinger to dust. He was there with you at the Collector Base, with cover fire and everything, even tried to pull you up if you had no one else left.

Then someone suggested it was not Joker... but _EDI_ running away, scared to die. Just before the last mission she confessed to Shepard that it was him/her who made her feel alive. Somehow, it made the ending even worse (although this is no explanation as to why EDI would know what's coming at them, and no explanation for mysteriously teleporting henchmen either).
