Description This is a ball point pen drawing of a duel between a Dark Eldar Incubus and Space Marine Chaplain..... I know there are some areas that might seem a bit off, but they'd be fixed (hopefully) when I do a colored version of it using my PS5 and Painter on OS9..... Also included is a short story describing the duel, so please critique both the story and the drawing.... s woul encourage me to work on the colored one fast, so...... (Was that subtle or what? And if you are not familiar with Warhammer 40k, it's more likely for you to be a female or had not been introduced to the darker side of the NERD world.......) "Nerds are smart." -Milhouse-

As Chaplain Nunez of the Silver Skulls were suppressing the raiding forces of those foul Dark Eldars, he noticed there were the leader of the enemy not too far from him. With those pesky pirates having trouble to contain the finest warriors the Emperor had in his disposal, the dark leader of the enemy was barking out orders to his warriors, whilst disposing quite a few brave veterans of the Emperor. Realizing that taking care of the enemy leader would be the only way to get rid of this raiding forces, Captain Nunez made haste to get himself near the dreaded Archon. But before he could get within the shooting distance to the Archon, one of his bodyguard stopped the Chaplain in his tracks. Armed with pitch black armor, and his filthy armor decorated with the heads of his fallen foes, the Incubus stood tall whilst blocking Nunez, with his mighty spear held high. Being faced by a worthy foe, the proud leader of the Silver Skulls charged up the power fist to prepare himself for the battle. But he did not know he would be facing the whole Incubi Squad, who surrounded him as he lunged his blow against the enemy.
But Emperor denied him, as the agile Incubus swiftly dodged the deadly blow and charged toward the unfortunate Chaplain. Nunez felt the cold edge of the enemy's spear piercing through the chest plate, as he heard a ghastly voice: "Foolish human..... dare to strike the Incubi........" As the Incubus gave a quick twist upon the hilt, the poor Space Marine's soul was captured by the Archon, much to his delight.

The Chaplain's mask sorta looks surprised, like "Woah, you're huge.  I thought you Eldar were supposed to be...shorter."

Space Marines are 7 feet on average and Eldar are near 7 feet on Average (like 6'6-6'10).

7-8ft tall without armor, 8-8+ft with armor and terminators are somewhere around 9-10ft. Unless you want book versions who are 10ft tall in standart armor))

U really have skill, to continue developping that tallent is an absolute must.

I love the crop of the composition, and how it focuses on the most energetic aspects of the image... there is a lot of intensity conveyed merely through shading and pencil work, as well as through more obvious domains, such as facial expressions....or ....the lack there of

U have a good sense for proportion and a steady hand, don't let them go to waste

I don't like this one as much as the others I did, but compliments are compliments, especially since they are hard to come by for me. I should start drawing more, I admit, so keep an eye on me for the possibility that you may be a witness to a masterpiece. Thanks though.

I'm waiting for that

I think it looks real cool, no references again, right? I always enjoy works that doesn't reference things too much, the most.

Actually, if you have seen the date on that drawing, it is done about a year ago.... and the programs have been upgraded to PS7 and OS X, but I have no desire to pdate the work. Well, there are some references as far as the actual models and some drawings to provide some sense of resemblance, but yeah, I'm more into creating my own image of those characters. Thanks again for your comments.

DUDE that drawing kicks much ass. The story you wrote to go along with it is very cool also. I did something like that for my space marine chapter the Iron Snakes. The leader was in a fierce fight with a necron lord. Of coarse he prevailed but with much action and danger though.

Awesome man, a welcome back to your drawings, this one is a nice start. I really like the chest and the mask of the incubi (it might just be my lack of memory, but his face looks a litle different, but yours is much cooler). The prose with it was pretty cool (i've always liked the Warhammer 40k ones), but I got the feeling that I was moreover watching over a real game than in the battle.

Im a dark eldar player, an i know how much incubi kick ass. ive been wanting to build an incubi master for a long time. i think you could fix the chaplain up by giving him a backpack, cos he looks weird without one. Other than that, this is pretty damn cool! +fav
