Well, i wish you good luck on your studying, i respect that profession Β . Β (Tenma one of the characters that have sweetest personalities, yet his mind can be as sharp as scalpel ) (All the point, that i had a huge break from watching anime some time ago, so i had little chance of guessing who is who >_<, but that that doesn't mean that i that won't watch them, i added Jackals to list of mangas, that i should read , just in case ). Person who guessed them all probably well experienced in anime universes, i envy them sometimes. ^^

Just a heads up: unlike all the other respectable seinen on my list, Jackals is probably the one with the shittiest story XDD It's completely forgettable. The characters are really washed out tropes. However! The reason it was listed as one of my top faves back in 2010 is because I really loved the art style, and the way the artist depicted action scenes. It's not my favourite anymore but it DID influence my way of viewing fight scenes, so I still respect it a lot in that sense :3 It's not very good, though xD

Ok...Let's see, I recognise Thorfinn from Vinland Saga, Dr.Tenma from Monster,Β Kakihara Masao from Ichi the Killer, Vash from Trigun, the character with scars on his face and one eye seems to be fromΒ Blade of the ImmortalΒ (God, I gotta read that manga soon) Manji? , the one that has one eyeΒ closed...Guts from Berserker? Seems like his weapon...The last guy, is it Nakoshi from Homunculus or Musashi from Vagabond?Β For the guy that looks like Ichigo, Nichol, I cheated, I saw in a post, lol. But the mangaΒ Jackals sounds familiar, at one time I think I planned to read it...I read like 15 chapters from Immortal Rain but I couldn't figure out that was Zol, lol >.< I planned to read Dorohedoro for a long time now, especially since it's a gory seinen manga by a female mangaka ^^

I do read a lot of manga, particularly seinen manga so it wasn't that difficult, especially since those guys are all iconic and memorable. Sadly I'm still lacking in my manga knowledge so I obviously still have a long way to go.

I stopped reading shoujo at 12, and shonen has never really appealed to me because, though it's messages are usually idealistic, rarely are they mature most of the time. Hence, YAY! Seinen comics!

As for myself, Monster is my second favorite anime, so I wanted to check out more Urasawa stuff, so I picked up 20th Century boys and have only really enjoyed seinen manga from there. I read some shonen and shojo sometimes, but never get as into it.
I also have a hard time buying anything other than seinen, I get embarrassed, so if a friend wants manga for their birthday, I really don't want to get it for them. I mean, I guess I feel like the person at the cash register is going to think that I actually read KuroSHITsuji (hate) when it's nowhere near what I like.
But I often put too much thought into things

The guy you think is Ichigo is actually Nichol from the manga Jackals, but it's a forgiveable mistake since they look pretty much identical except in different styles (and different colouring schemes)~
