(Takes place during Mario and Ruby's quest to find Nora, who's a leader of a Hammer Bro group, thanks to the influence of the Royal Sticker. More so in the same area, Claro Forest)

Luigi, lost in Claro Forest from an ambush by the Hammer Brothers earlier, and Yang, who finds Luigi sleeping and fends off some enemies that were about to attack, were trying to find a way back to E. Gadd's houseboat. However, they bumped into a surprising enemy, Dry Bowser. Luigi recognizes him as Bowser, but assumes that he's just someone that looks like him. Dry Bowser explained that he is Bowser, but a separate one.

Yang recognizes the pattern on his face, a similar one of that of the Grimm. She backs Luigi off for safety, still thinking he's some innocent guy, and tells him that it's a Grimm. Luigi doesn't know what she's talking about, but Dry Bowser explains that to him on what Grimm are. In a related subject, he almost went to saying that he's learning stuff from his teacher, and that this teacher told him to roam around the Sutekka Kingdom for her for a while. Yang, knowing Grimm, was bewildered by that statement about some teacher. Dry Bowser puts the topic aside and wants them to stand aside, but Yang won't allow it. Annoyed, he simply starts the fight.

There's no winner in the fight, but it seems like Yang has no way hurting Dry Bowser. Near the end, she's almost running out of her aura from the strong hits Dry Bowser dealt. He kept commenting on how weak her attacks are, angering her in the process. Thanks to her semblance, she managed to deal damage, but not enough to actually hurt him a lot. More annoyed, Dry Bowser was about to use his fire breath on her, but Luigi snapped her out of her anger and she and Luigi bolted out the area, avoiding Dry Bowser's attack. They jumped into one of the bushes, and as Dry Bowser finishes his attack, he looked around, wondering where they went. Only a few seconds, he shrugs it off and continues his task of exploring the Sutekka Kingdom.

Luigi and Yang are relieved and they continue their travel to E. Gadd's houseboat. Luigi wonders who Yang is, what Grimm are, and who Dry Bowser is. Luigi didn't ask her yet, but he also wonders what happened to her arm.
