Alright I know time is a construct and 18 being the marker for adulthood is totally fabricated, but there have been countless times this year that I didn’t think I’d even... Y’know. Make it to this point, if you catch my drift. There’ve been some very close brushes with a really, really bad place.
I’m just thankful I’ve pushed through far enough to see that there’s potential for things to get better.
My relationship with my parents is turning around, I got accepted to a pre-health sciences program yesterday, and while my irl social life is… pretty desolate nowadays, there’s still a handful of people whose company I really cherish (you guys know who you are :") ).
I think i’m gonna be ok.

To me, 18 didn't felt that big of a accomplishment when I turned it, Didn't had much a choice what political party I wanted, Didn't want to go to college . But, it's only thanks to hindsight and growing as a person that I realize how much of a big deal becoming a adult was .

Yeah I mean all in all it's a pretty arbitrary year and the only real legal changes where I live are sex and voting? I think it just comes down to what you make of it. Im hoping I can look back on this as milestone though
