Acrylics on stretched canvas, 102 cm x 75 cm . I really love my colourful horse now, which is remarkable, since I nearly painted over the whole thing, because I had so many problems with it. I am grateful for my friend's advice, who loved the painting and talked me out of painting over it. She also pointed out a solution to the problem I had with the awkward hind legs of the horse, which were cut off at the ankles, and this ruined the painting. She suggested sweeping the tail to the left, and hiding the problem. It worked a treat. My friend, who is a very talented artist, saved my little horse. Just goes to show you, that sometimes it's good to get some help from friends. In spite of that great advice, it still took me 5 attempts to finally get it right to the point of being happy with it. Sometimes you have to suffer for your art, but it was worth it in the end.
