Please note the comic is for comedy purposes.
If you actually read the comic online you'll see something that changes my mind about this armor.
[I don't update this comic to DeviantART anymore so the comics are all very out dated.]

Also keep in mind that everyone has different play styles. I predominately play a caster - so I stick to light armors for a fast roll.
Medium to heavy armors don't suit my playstyle, so no, I don't wear them. Nor have they 'saved my life'.
[except Havels'. That's my emergency armor.]

I used the Elite Armor for a long time. I only picked up Steel Armor before I went into the Duke's Archives, I think.

Exactly the same as me, my character is a Sorcerer and i mostly only go for magicy thingies, but each time i see a cool piece of armor i go ape shit over it even tough i will not use it!

The elite armour was really good for its weight. Catarina Armour is better and has same weight, but you know... only after Sen's you can buy it whilst the Elite Knight is an early loot if you do it correctly and doesn't cost 10k souls per part or coming with ridiculous looks.

you could turn useless things into some of the greatest things in game. upgrade a broken long sword to a broken longsword + 10 and then combine it with a boss soul to create pure hell on a stick

eliwood583 [2012-03-12 18:26:11 +0000 UTC]

Its the most valued standard (non-twinkleing) armor in the game.
Early on its heaavy but later in game will be one of the toughest lighter armors( with decent poise) out there.
More experianced players often when startig new characters. Often zerg rush the area dodgeing the dragons inthe valley of the drakes take the elevator up to the bonfire in the cave by the grass crest shield and head up the cliffside to get that armor and quick access to andre of astora... and it also makes the elevator in the church accessable even before fighting the tarus demon...
So its not really crappy armor as much as it isjust

Lucky for me I was going for melee specialist, so that armor -was- something I'll definitively use. I also was a veteran with run ins with those freaking stone knights, so I just lured one away, quickly dispatching the ents. Taking the other one was easy enough. The bad part was that the armor weights a ton. *sighs* On the the level grinding.

it is kinda funny though because right before you enter the area if you pick up that item in that little alcove you get jumped by three living bushes. then if you head left into another little alcove not only does another bush thing jump out after you enter it, the lizard is perched right over the item and i think we both know what happens when you go right for the suit of armor lying on the ground.

Those moss stone knights are not that hard if you have the black knight halberd, you can kill them with one hit.

The Ceaseless Discharge was a bastardo! But not very difficult All you need to do is use the valley against him, like that fork in the road towards the corpse. Get his attention, dodge his attack by hugging the corner of the wall, and attack with your strongest weapon or magic.

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!

i wear that armor til i get silver knights. its so far the best. Hard to roll in unless u have havel's ring which i get at like lv 15 lol.

Very funny comic. Those tranquil-walk-of-peace bastards set you up pretty hard lol

Unf! I wear the Silver Knight's armor right now actually! Only for melee fights... normally I wear my clothie/robe combination for spellpower.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

khmer-shinobi In reply to karniz [2011-12-13 08:57:46 +0000 UTC]

silver knight's armor is resonably good for medium size armor. Expecially at +5 i think it is better than ornstein's armor. Though so far the best medium size armor is paladin leeroy jenkins. I think the light armor is either xanthanos or dusk (at least it was before patch 1.05). I actually prefer the medium size armor the most. And i personally think the silver knight's armor is actually very stylish. I also like to mix the elite knight helm with silver knight armor. Talk about stylish.

Ps. if you like robe for 25% movement, then you should consider the darkwood grain ring which allows u to roll at 25% weight load if you are anywhere less than 50% weight load. getting it is easy. just join the forest covenant and kick the ninja off the ledge. then quit game and start load and it should be there.

goodluck

I used to wear the Antiquiated Dress. It was the best friggin' armor in the game... GUH. But anyway, I believe I'm going for the Xanthous or the Witch set. I need to see the stats. I'm mostly vanity though, so I'll sacrifice stats if I look pretty cool.
[Speaking of vanity did you notice that the Silver Knight's helmet makes your head look tiny? It weirds me out... haha!]

I *would* do that for the ring, but I've already pissed off Alvina and she won't talk to me. I'll have to try it on my 2nd playthrough. ;

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

khmer-shinobi In reply to karniz [2011-12-15 03:47:16 +0000 UTC]

Oh yeah. Antiquated Dress was the armor i was talking about that got nerfed via patch 1.05. Xanthous set is good, but the headpiece blocks too much of the screen. Though i think cosplaying as the witch betrice is pretty cool. I like to cosplay most of the time (i cosplay as silver knight, black knight, oscar, and ornstein). I know that the silver knight's helm makes ur head look small bit it really is just tall and skinny is all.

If you want, u can help players fight bosses (you can get summoned often around lv 45 - 55) and use those to absolve ur sins with oswald of carim so alvina talks to you again.
