Gru had some "business" to take care of (probably stealing the Maltese Falcon or something ), and Dr. Nefario was away on vacation. So, he called up an old college buddy of his to help out for the weekend.

How do you get the sunbeams, and other rays of light to look so real and cool?

I just do the light beams on a seperate layer. Then, there's a lever, for lack of a better word, that makes it more or less see-through.
