gosh im born in cologne + still living here and i have to admit that i noticed these little locks a year ago hahaha they have been there for ages i walked across the bridge so many times and just didnt realize it lmao such a shame... i guess some people are the same and they gonna be like wtf this is in cologne?! if they see your picture haha

i believe the lock signify a lasting bond between two people. couples go to the bridge to secure the relationship and love.
i think there is a few bridges in the world that have this type of tradition.
